Off year for Quintana so far up to this point but no doubt, I could see him pitching like a star pitcher again if he goes to the Angels. Pitching at Angels Stadium is always a luxury and with the defense that the Angels have? Quintana would love that.

Yeah, I checked the July schedule for the Angels in the seccond half last week and it is not going to be easy since they will face teams that have winning records at this point in Tampa Bay, Washington, Boston, and Cleveland. I could see them falling out of Wild Card contention really fast with the way this team is built. Shaky starting pitcher and inconsistent offense. The good news is that's Trout's best month of his career is July. OPS in July from 2012-2016: 1.259, 1.108, .846, 1.323, and .869. And last season, he still had a .435 OBP in a July that was considered "bad" for him. He might still hit .380 with 10 homers in just 14 games this July, even with a long layoff.

I do not think it is a coincidence that Cron gets called up and it is against the Rangers. He is the "Rangers Killer". He has good numbers in his career against Texas.

No position player on the Angels deserves to be an All Star this year. Pujols is getting old, Maybin has been on and off, same with Escobar, and Calhoun was hitting like a little leaguer prior to June and could not make up ground.

Last time they met, Pujols belted his 600th career home run against PED boy Santana and I said that was the guy who Pujols was going to hit his 600th home run off of.

And as a few people have mentioned, Santana used PEDs. He still might be using them. Dude cheated and his numbers will have an asterisk right next to it.

How was it a mistake letting both Vargas and Santana go? Vargas is a mediocre pitcher who is having the biggest fluke season I have ever seen anyone have. Santana was terrible in 2012 and had a lot of bad years as an Angel. He is a teaser.

Meyer has actually shown flashes of being really good. Still inconsistent but the stuff is there and if he ever fixes his control issues, could reach his potential and be a late bloomer.

Outside of Darvish, there is no other pitcher that deserves to get a big contract. Arrieta has regressed big time in the las few years and Vargas is a mediocre pitcher who is having a fluke season. And he is like 32 years old or something like that.
