  1. And to think there are people out there who took pride for them hanging in there when Trout was out for almost two months. This is a veteran team loaded with guys who have good track records. They should be a better team than their record shows but they have underperformed up to this point. It is not like this is a young team loaded with guys who are trying to prove they can play at the big league level.
  2. Not true. They are a .500 team with him playing this season and three games under .500 without him.
  3. And I don't think Trout can fix the Angels and their starting rotation issues either.
  4. MLB should never have done wild cards. Either you win your divison or you don't. Thanks to that, the Angels won their only World Series in 2002.
  5. Calhoun is much better than this. He is back to hitting like a minor leaguer.
  6. Hard to believe that Simmons is the second hitter on the Angels in terms of OPS. When that is the case, you would think the offense is in trouble, and they are.
  7. The kid for the Rays pitched well tonight. But at least Trout is playing again. Give him some time to get back to killing people.
  8. Not even a bad swing by Trout in his first at bat after almost missing two months. Even on an out.
  9. So you're telling me that pitching at US Cellular Field is not that much tougher than at Angels Stadium using ERA+? Stupid. Pitching at US Cellular Field is way tougher than at Angels Stadium. Do not believe what stats say all the time.
  10. Stats don't always tell the whole story. Quintana doesn't have the same luxury as Ramirez since the White Sox play horrible defense.
  11. Already said weeks ago that Young's early success with the bat for the Angels big league team was a fluke. With that said though, he can still be a nice contributor for the Angels if he is called up again later in the season because he is a good base stealer and from what I have seen, plays pretty good defense. But the Angels have plenty of outfielders who can play good defense.
  12. Quintana at his worst (this year) is still better than any of the Angels starters right now. Sad.
  13. Maybe Gordon could give some of his PEDs to a struggling Angels offense if he gets traded to them. They could certainly use some.
  14. MLB would never make it seem as if they are trying to ruin the integrity of the game.
  15. Must be the most luckiest 12 scoreless starts ever. And it would not surprise me if only a few of those starts were because the pitchers went deep into games.
  16. Maybe but it is likely that baseballs are juiced. Why, what do you know? Simmons is on pace to hit close to 20 home runs this year.
  17. In no way am I an Angels fan but Weaver was still one of my favorite players in baseball for a lot of years. Dude was fun to watch back in his prime years (2010-2012) but his career is over. Congrats on a tremendous career but he should have hung it up after 2015.
  18. If you look at the Cubs this year and last year m, they are on pace to miss the postseason this year after winning the World Series last year. In baseball, you can go from top of the world to being a non playoff team the next year. Baseball is so much different than per say, the NBA. You expect the same teams to comepete for the NBA Finals year in and year out. MLB? No. And as individual performances goes, have you always notice that NBA superstars always put up great months after great months but an MLB superstar can have multiple bad months during a season? MLB is way more unpredictable than NBA. If I were the Angels, I would go for it because Trout is the best player in the league. Plus, they are just three games back of the second wild cases with Trout returning. Roll the dice.
  19. You never know, man. As far as I know, the Angels can still win the World Series if they make it to the postseason as a wild card. The thing about baseball is that it is so unpredictable. There is no guarantees that if the Angels make the postseason as a wild card that they will lose because all it takes is a team that gets hot at the right time to win it all. It would be a miracles but not impossible for the Angels to win it all this year.
  20. Actually, I do keep up with how Altherr is doing. Have to admit that it would be awesome to see a German baseball player succeeding in MLB. He is playing great ball all year long! And Howie is also on the Phillies. And Benoit.
  21. I admitted that I knew he never said that Judge was on Trout's level.
