Players know the risks. The only reason these lawsuits are getting settled is because it is actually cheaper to pay them than fight them in court. The NFL makes massive revenue and these settlements are peanuts comparatively. The only thing they could actually be held liable for is negligence and based on what they are doing to make it safer they are not negligent.
