Wasn't interested in Stanton - interested in other Marlins if they had to shed other contracts. 
I love Calhoun but Yelich or Ozuna in RF or Bour at 1B plus Gordon, etc would be a good scenario.

I'd be ok with that but I really think that Skaggs has a bounce back year. Players tend to do better as they are 18-24 months removed from TJ. His curveball is disgusting and he's relatively cheap. I'd like him to be our 4th starter. I'd be more inclined to trade Cron + fillers for Hernandez.

Based on his size I'm guessing hes going to have a lot of power/swing and miss to his game. He looks like he has a better swing from the right side than left side. He looks a lot like a power hitting 3rd baseman.

I agree. You either take the cash or you take the prospects. I'd be ok with eating 70% of the deal and give up 1-2 of those prospects. If you get Stanton you don't need any of them for at least 5 years so essentially they are playing to get traded.

Trust me I wish what existed today was available then. Things  may have worked out much differently for me. I was able to throw mid to upper 90's in high school as a 15/16 year old but had to be converted to catcher because of it. I went to Villa Park and actually played with Trumbo but my family couldn't afford the physical therapists or doctors to get things fixed properly so I had to either deal with it or give it up.

The Angels would be better served just as every MLB team to sell direct streams of their games. Make the application/stream available for lets say 200$ a year vs paying a cable company 200$ a month and only receiving a portion of those proceeds for a bunch of other random shit. Right now you can do it through the MLB app but why not just do it directly through the team. Similar to how the Lakers do it.

Ya that's crazy. That's not even beneficial to put a team around you. I'd be more inclined to give him 40 mil a year in the shorter term than do it for such a long haul. Start at 5 years 200 and go longer years less money from there. If you want 6 years it goes to 37 per if you want 7 years it goes to 35 per and so on.

As long as the healing exists that's a good sign, however when it comes to injuries like this...at the point of damage, even with said healing there exists a susceptibility to re tear. That spot is compromised and weaker than a non torn elbow. In my experience just having dealt with shoulder and elbow injuries players tend to modify their motion to avoid re-injury and ultimately end up hurting the other area. I personally did this while playing in college. My shoulder was destroyed so I threw differently and ultimately gave myself elbow problems. It was a vicious cycle for years until I gave up the ghost.
