Ya, I wouldn't say I prefer to lose Ohtani. These prospects would help soften that blow but a front end of the rotation starter is much more valuable in my opinion.

That comes down to personal preference. Pearson will have a shorter path to the majors and comes with greater offensive upside. But Pearson is also a liability in the field, and Marte figures to stay at SS or 2B.
I prefer Marte because he's a more complete player, but to each his own.
