I haven’t looked at Beltran career numbers but if he is in a discussion of top 100 players then I have absolutely underrated him.  

Yeah forever I was such a purist that the idea of changing the number of games in the season seemed totally outrageous to me.  Then I thought it would be fine to go back to 154 since that was the norm prior to 162.
Now I think anything over 130ish is acceptable to me with no concern about how that differs from the previous norms,  as long as there are extended playoffs.

Not sure if he's been mentioned, but Lou Whitaker. He's one of my top choices to get into the Hall at some point. 68.1 WAR, 15 seasons at 3+ WAR. Just a good to very good player for a very long time.
I don't know if he's underrated or not, but Jose Ramirez has somewhat quietly put together the third highest WAR over the last five years (2016-21), behind only Trout and Betts.
Here's an Angel: Chuck Finley. He was just so consistently good for so long. 11th highest pitcher WAR in the 90s and 56.9 for his career. His ERA was consistently over 4.00 for the latter half of his career, but during the height of the high offense era.

This comment hits home personally.  There has been a screw in the tire of my wife’s car for a couple weeks and I haven’t bothered with it yet because we haven’t needed that car for the last couple of weeks.
But I am going to need her car to be ready to go next week.
So I am going to take it in Friday or Saturday.
The point is obvious but I will also say it.  The progress and timeline (and strategy) of many projects is driven by a deadline, not the starting line.
It is really a bit silly to be fixated on this situation in the context of the amount of time from the lockout to the next publicized date of talks.
The parties involved have a much better understanding of managing the timeline and deadline than fans.

I am genuinely interested in being civil Strad.  How can you call them unreasonable when the most seasoned, effective negotiators on the planet would predictably use delays to make progress?
Isnt it more likely you are simply frustrated as a fan not actually seeing progress?
So why not just be honest and say you are annoyed and frustrated rather than make a baseless accusation about the people involved when what they are doing is easily defendable (and predictable) as a negotiating strategy?

It is pretty silly to say the people negotiating are not reasonable people.  That’s just your displeasure with the fact that it is not yet resolved.
