    Go Diablos am I right?
I actually was at MetLife Stadium the week after the Sanchez Butt Fumble game to watch one of the worst games in NFL history Jets vs Arizona Cardinals.
Arizona had their 3rd string QB playing who couldn't complete a set of downs.  The Jets attempted 2 field goals that hit the uprights at each end zone and missed them both.  Mark Sanchez was booed off the field and Rex Ryan had to bench him.  I had great seats though front row at 40 yard line overlooking most of the action.

Pretty good line in small sample 2 IP vs Angels on back to back days 2 IP vs Braves and .2 IP vs Cardinals. Someone upstairs was apparently impressed as was I based on this.

Well the psychic says it's going to be the Angels as he also predicted him in 2017 to the Angels.

My source says he’s going to sign with two teams. One as a hitter and the other as a pitcher. They will each be 20 year deals.

Good hire extremely qualified proven winner except for Josh Hamilton risk.
He has paid his dues since then so hope for the best

The Cardinals are obviously pursuing Yadier to be a Coach but they already have a manager so Yadier doesn't have an opening.  Make him an offer he can't refuse. Carpe Diem!
I like Buck but he didn't stand up to Eppler regarding Dan Vogelbach.  He just gave up doesn't have the fire in the belly any more sort of like another Joe Maddon probably.

We all watched Molina for 19 seasons we know what he's not going to put up with, how he takes charge and that he won't back down. Seriously, five months into retirement he managed team Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic and took them to the Quarterfinals. Add that to being a 10-time all-star, a two-time World Series champion, a two-time National League Champion, nine Gold Glove Awards and four Platinum Glove Awards — what more could you ask for in a manager?

Very sad to hear this now as I have been checked out for a while.  I enjoyed my interactions with Lou who is a HOF poster here IMO always universally respected and witty.

Catchers IMO make the best managers having an understanding of both the pitching and the hitting and defense and are natural Team leaders Yadier being one of the all time greatest.
He was on my fantasy baseball team and I didn't need a backup as he played nearly every game.

PJ, I am so sorry to hear about your brother's passing.  I haven't spent much time around here lately, and I am just floored to hear about your brother (and Brandon).  I knew your brother (and others here) going on 20 years.  Get togethers, softball games, etc.  But mostly a shared quip about something Angels-related, something about another poster, or just something in pop culture.  Now that your brother has passed, it is shocking how those seemingly innocuous little messages can be so treasured.
Your brother was sharp, quick, smart.  It was pretty hard to get the better of him.  He was almost smug, but in a good way.  There was a tad of self-deprecation as well.  So enjoyable to read his posts and messages.
The message board community is I am sure a tad bizarre to someone from the outside.  But to the people here, Lou was on the Mount Rushmore of posters here.  And that means something to a surprisingly lot of us here.

    RIP, Lou

The funeral mass and burial for Lou took place on Friday. @Adam @mrwicked and I were there. It was a simple but dignified service, and we got to hear from his sister and a couple of his nieces as they spoke.
One of the better things I've seen at a funeral was that they asked everyone to wear their favorite sports jersey. Plenty of Angels jersey as you can imagine but I only saw one UCLA jersey. Someone had the nerve to show up in a Dodgers jersey.
Adam and I left after the funeral mass but mrwicked continued on to the burial and to @stpat373's house for stories and remembrances. wicked said there were a lot of good stories and lots of laughter, and it would've been just like Lou would've wanted it to be.
The family shared something in the printed program that was unknown to most people - Lou had been planning to move to Mexico and do some work with orphanages. Lou and I had talked about him retiring and moving south, but I didn't know about the orphanges angle. My impression was that after his mother passed, he wanted to do something  that was meaningful - I could be wrong about that, but that was my take.
Lou was able to hear our stories that we posted here, and they meant a lot to him and to his family.
Every time I log in to this site, I think of him. I miss him a lot.

I could elaborate if anyone is interested in Buck's pros & cons as I have observed him.
Whether he is right or wrong for the Angels manager position depends on the current direction of the team which I am confused about mostly.  Alot depends on Ohtani and I hope for the best with him but prepare for the worst.

I endorse Buck for the Manager job and I have been a fan of his from the beginning when he managed the Yankees then he created the D'backs, then he went to Texas then Baltimore and finally the Mets where I observed him closely.  The huge knock on him is he has never won a Championship yet but the Yankees Dbacks and Rangers did right after he departed.  He is a quality person well liked.  There are pros and cons with him which I am familiar with.
Don't hold the Championship against him though as it didn't go well for Joe Maddon which I still can't understand what went wrong with him.

Having known Lou since 2007 on here, and having gone on a Halos/bar hop road trip to the 2011 Oakland DH that he was also at, this one hits hard.
He is a genuinely great person, a totally unselfish one.
🙏🙏sent for him and his relatives.

That's just devastating news.  Lou is easily one of my favorite posters.  I've also enjoyed his short, but to the point posts and his no nonsense attitude.  I don't pay much attention to who likes my posts, etc., but I always smile when I get a "like" from Lou.
I'm incredibly sorry to hear this news and I've noticed his lack of participation of late.  I kept checking his profile and saw he was reacting to posts, but not really posting and I wondered.  I thought about reaching out, but didn't because I thought he'd pick up his activity any day now...
I will pray for Lou and for his family.
I've never met Lou, but I feel like I know him a little.  Just a little. I feel like I know enough to know he is a good guy.  I'm honestly very saddened by this news.

My name it's Patrick (known as PJ) to my brother Lou. My family and I have been following this since it was first posted and even created accounts. Most know by now that Lou passed peacefully in his sleep on August 8th at approximately 5pm while The Ocho was on TV (c'mon, you know he loved all sports even the weird ones, like Cricket). He constantly bragged about AngelsWin, all the fun times he had here and the trips to watch The Halos play, home and away with you guys. You all were his extended family and loved every minute he spent on here. To see him spend his last several days reading your posts and thoughts about him brought a smile (and tears) to his face, as it did his brothers and sister. All of us have also been keeping up with this post and you will never know how much we appreciate the love, memories, thoughts and especially the pictures you have shared. Our greatest memory with him was being in the front row at the left field foul pole for the Angels 2002 World Series win. All of us hugging and crying tears of joy at the site we thought we would never see. Close 2nd was Barry Bonds flipping us off during the game because Lou kept leading our entire section in a "sterrrroooooids!" chant while we were jamming a Thunderstick into our arms. Honor him by keeping his memory and stories alive. Celebrate his life. "LouDogg" was a smartass until the end and continued to make us laugh until his last breath.
    Sincerely,
    The Garcia Family

@stpat373 (Patrick), I cannot tell you how much it means to me and all of us at AngelsWin for you to post what you did. You really put a smile on my face and happy tears to my eyes after reading your post.
I really hope you can stick around here. Your brother left quite an amazing legacy here and he taught me a lot over the years. I always appreciated how he would send me a private message and rebuke me when I went off on the team or a player, or to just ask how I was doing when I seemed off in my posts. It always led to me confessing that there was indeed something going on personally in my life, and just talking through it with him made me feel better and right the ship.

Yesterday evening I walked outside (I work from home) and thought about Lou and how much I miss him, how much we're all going to miss him, and then I turned around and I looked up into the sky and this what I saw.

It's almost as if Lou was saying hi.
