After 7 innings in Salt lake Cowart is 4-4 with 2 doubles and is batting .311/.366/462/.829 with 25 RBIs.
I doubt last year was as big of a fluke as everyone said.

I have been pushing this guy since he started hitting last year in the IE. I kept getting all the negative replies, saying his resurgence was just a fluke, and the real Cowart was the one from AA. I would tell them that with his IE hitting coach they would spend hours reviewing video of his swing from when he was still a top prospect. He spent hours in the batting cage trying to recapture the swing he had before his AA coaches tried to fix it. From that moment on he started to to get his foot down on time and his BA began to climb and climb.
According to reports he is one the very best fielding 3B man in all of the minors, possible the very best. His arm is a canon and he has a 95 mph fastball and can easily make throws across the diamond having once been a pitcher. The fluke years were the 2 he had in AA.

I hope you're right. I have wanted to see what he can do given consistent ABs. Even in ST he barely got a chance to play.

It's a sign that the time has come to promote Cowart. Let's see what he can do with regular ABs.

That's what I used to think but I was wrong. Players can be traded while on the the DL.

If he is 40 like you allude to, he would have been 22 when he played baseball for Fort Osage High School in Independence MO. Do you really think a 22 yr. old Albert could have fooled everyone into believing he was 18?

Harper is 1 for his last 22 and has dropped his average from .320+ to .256/.367/.622/.989. Maybe his worse slump ever.

Last year after 26 games we were 7 games back this year we are only 3 games back. Those 4 games would have been enough to win the division last year.

All of his pitches are off speed.

They had a day off Thursday, why not just skip Shoemaker and pitch Richards? He will be on normal rest.
