  1. Ibanez, Steve Finley, Vernon wells, Gary Matthews Jr., Josh Hamilton, Jeff Mathis Sosh is just getting started with his new toy
  2. Maybin and Espinosa are batting like .180 combined. Great acquisitions as usual by this team
  3. How does Sosh not see that coming? This guy is so hittable
  4. Oh. Shows how much I've been paying attention this season (not much)
  5. He's become a total liability. below average hitter, can't play the field Why is he still batting cleanup?
  6. Simba is an elite SS for sure. IMO he'll go down as the best Angels SS ever when it's all said and done. Think he'll be in Anaheim for a long time
  7. Just a joy to watch really. Totally unselfish too the way he never swings at pitches out of the strike zone. For example during the 9th inning comeback on Sunday he could have swung at one of those borderline pitches and tried to be the hero but instead lays off of them and takes the walk. Ends up scoring the winning run
  8. Escobar is setting the table way too well to not be in the lineup every day. Guy has a .351 career OBP, which is like 30 points better than league average. That's not someone you take out of the lineup
  9. Amazing trade by Eppler. Simmons is the best defensive infielder in the world and is not a bad hitter despite what some think.
  10. I know for a fact the professors at UCSB are overwhelmingly liberal, and ramming their political agenda down students' throats every chance they get. Even in classes that have nothing to do with politics.
  11. I like the over on Colorado. I feel like they should be at least .500 this year.
  12. It's really easy to sneak into Tempe Diablo. Also you can scalp your way in for 20 bucks most of the time
  13. 7 wins in April then they'll battle back to finish the season 2 games above .500 and miss the playoffs by 5 games then we'll have a bunch of people posting about how "if not for that bad April..." as if April games don't count
  14. Eppler has done a very good job making the team more competitive while not overpaying fringe players and trading meaningful prospects. I don't think anyone can disagree with that right now. He needs to stay the course and keep rebuilding the minor league system and only spend big money on a players that are going to put the team over the top. IMO the next big FA signing needs to be an ace starting pitcher.
  15. The bullpen is going to be a disaster. The starting rotation isn't very good either but I've actually got Alex Meyer pencilled in for 150 innings of sub 4 ERA pitcing next year. I saw some serious potential there. He was throwing mid to upper 90s with a deceptive delivery. If he can command his offspeed at all he should be a lock to be in the rotation
  16. Yeah, we'll just be seeing a lot more of them if they're on Texas (which scares me a little)
  17. They don't really need him to win it all in the next few years though They have plenty of offense with Pedroia, Betts, Boegarts, Ramirez. Plus they'll probably sign another bat This is clearly Dombrowski going for it while Price, Pedroia, Hanley, and company are still expected to be productive
  18. Good trade for both clubs. The Red Sox have an extremely strong rotation now with Sale, Price, and Porcello The White sox get younger and help their rebuild
