  1. Congrats Trout. Hoping he gets 2000 more hits as an Angel
  2. Depends if Scioscia is still manager. If he is, he'll still be pencilling Pujols 3rd or 4th in the lineup. Can't teach an old dog new tricks
  3. Sorry but when you have a .270 OBP, you can't blame the guys behind you for not driving you in. You have to reach base at a decent clip to be able to do that
  4. Most of them are performing well below their career averages and what they've done in recent years. Not all his fault at all
  5. Norris, Petit, Parker would all have value to a contender
  6. Eppler will sell. This isn't Dipoto or Reagins anymore. We have a competent GM now who is ready to rebuild the club for future seasons. I'd be shocked if we didn't dump some players
  7. Danny Espinosa - 77 games (-1.4 WAR) CJ Cron - 43 games (-0.5 WAR) Ben Revere - 65 games (-1.1 WAR) Luis Valbuena - 63 games (-0.6 WAR) Jefry Marte - 39 games (-0.7 WAR) Kole Calhoun - 97 games (0.2 WAR) Cliff Pennington - 53 games (-0.1 WAR) Albert Pujols - 91 games (-1.1 WAR) Jesse Chavez - 20 starts (0.3 WAR) Ricky Nolasco - 20 starts (0.4 WAR) The underperformance from some of these guys is embarrassing. The vast majority of these players need to not be on this team next season. I don't know if theres another team that has that many below replacement level players hacking away for as many games as we've allowed ours to.
  8. Simmons is the best SS this team has ever had. We've been spoiled by some very good SS over the years as Angels fans. But honestly none of them are even close to Simmons' level imo. Especially if he hits like he has this year
  9. Dodgers very easily could win 100 games this year
  10. I thought you were talking about Scioscia at first. Then I realized Arte would never say "no" to Scioscia.
  11. This years starting rotation makes Kelvim Escobar look like a durable arm
  12. Marsh won't be in Orem long. Get him to Burlington for the last month of this season then have him in A+ ball next year
  13. Middleton/Parker/Hernandez would be better options. Why even go to Street who very well might be totally washed up and is coming off injury here?
  14. You just know it will be Street vs Judge in the 9th somehow with runners on base
  15. Simmons is a stud. Lol if he doesn't make the all star game
  16. Well Cron's been pretty horrible so that shouldn't be hard to replace. You can add a power 1B for probably 8-10 million in the offseason that hits .250 with 25 home runs(Mitch Moreland? Adam Lind?). Would be an upgrade to be honest I know Cron has had some success the previous 2 years and could still bounce back, but the guy has a .562 OPS in mid-June. Patience has got to be wearing thin with Eppler
  17. Too bad because he looked promising a few years ago. but he hasn't developed. Time to DFA him and give someone else a chance in his place
  18. If we win 10 straight against these teams this is automatically the best season since at least 2009. Let's do it!
  19. This team is actually pretty decent. If Nolasco could not be a complete joke for a few innings maybe they can win this one
  20. And nor should he sell unless this team falls out of the wildcard race completely. You get 4 or 5 guys healthy (Trout, Skaggs, Shoemaker, Richards) going down the stretch, Maybin/Calhoun/Simmons keep playing like this, this team has a chance at advancing. They have the best player in the world on their side
  21. I'd prefer the blah blah blah approach rather than being Buyers or Sellers
