I don't think 9/11 was caused by incidents like this. I know Bin Laden declared war on the U.S. due to the relationship we have with Israel and he was pissed about our troops stationed in Saudi Arabia. I know there were other things too.
Also Vladdy you say in this thread that this shit is the same type of stuff that caused 9/11. Haven't you stated that you're big into the 9/11 conspiracies and the U.S. trained the hijackers? Those two view points don't exactly mesh.

I really don't care what a fair fight is. It's their war. The U.S. has done some real sketchy stuff but we've also been very charitable at the cost of the taxpayer. For once I think we should be selfish and let the world solve their own problems.
The Iraq war is not clouding our judgement. It's doing what history should always do for us. Teach us and help us learn from past mistakes.

What exactly about Syria needs our involvement Scott? A crappy government being overthrown by sketchy rebels? Atrocities being committed on both sides? Like mt said yesterday, it's no different than other parts of the world. There is not one legitimate reason to go there.
The u.s is not in danger or being threatened. Therefore there isn't a legitimate reason to get involved.

Saddam murdered millions of Iraqis. Doesn't mean it was a good thing to get involved and remove him for whatever reasons that were given to the American people. I was 18 years old in 2003 and a supporter of the Iraq War. Hindsight tells me I was dead wrong. If Egypt, Libya, Syria or any other country wants to overthrow their dictator, that's fine by me if it means we don't get involved unless it's absolutely necessary. No need to get involved and get our hands dirty. 
 
Also these dictators may be horrible people but let's not think that among these rebels, there isn't one to replace them. I know it's kind of lame but there is that quote from The Patriot. "Why should we trade one tyrant 3,000 miles away for 3,000 tyrants one mile away."

Who has had solid numbers throughout the minors, and was drafted as a 23 year-old due to being in college for 5 years (transferred and pitched all 4 eligible seasons). He's only been in the minors for 4 seasons. It's time to pitch up here, and show the Bradford, Ziegler, and O'Day that he may have in him.

That just made it harder for Obama to sell.
