  1. ohhhh, this mother ****er right here has got cast iron balls. you should put a month on this one game after this post. btw, if you don't love this video right here, then you're like a 1000 years old. because that shit is hilarious.
  2. this and he's added some key contributors.
  3. nobody? not one person had a witty retort about rodney blowing boat people? btw, that's racist. they're not boat people, they're cuban...and we should of signed them dammit.
  4. i don't believe in any conspiracy and so i'm not going to take part in that discussion. fernando being picked over richards is absolute larceny. sale, was fine because he was deserving. uehara was less than surprising, but fernando is a joke.
  5. just change your attitude. like i said, the angels hung with an opponent through a tough stretch. they could have played better than .500 ball and found themselves 10 games back. it's a fair assumption, based off of what beane has said, that the stretch of games is what prompted the A's to trade all those prospects for samardizja and hammels. it's going to be a tough task to dethrone the A's, but the angels are showing that they're up to the task. i grew up boxing and i equate it to the truth, which is that it usually takes a tough fight to beat the champ. they tend to not stay down early.
  6. a different way of looking at it would be: if at the beginning of the year fans and garret were given the opportunity to choose the result, which is garret will be one of the most deserving players for the allstar game, but will be snubbed, then would you take it? the answer is, of course, yes. he's had a breakout season, and i'm excited for him, as well as us as fans.
  7. i think it has to be a ray. tough break for richards.
  8. mota is with anybody for just a few dollars a month.
  9. this is my thinking, as well. i hate to cast the evil eye his direction, but he's a ripe candidate for the surgery that shall not be named.
  10. solid post, but i've got to call you out on the "thinks too much" catchphrase. nobody thinks too much. cj is a nibbler, it's who he is as a pitcher. when it's working it works, and when he's off, he's way off. take him as he comes, which is pretty good most of the time. i totally agree about the angels hanging with oakland as in 2002. i had the same thought through this last stretch where we won a ton of games, but didn't make up a ton of ground, which is the negative way of looking at it. the positive way is that oakland won all those games and didn't put any real distance between themselves and the angels.
  11. i don't feel the hate towards other teams, but inversely i don't feel bad for them either because i know it's all cyclical. it's only the best organizations that delay and minimize the down cycles while prolonging the up cycles. texas being in last place is just fine by me. the angels being the wildcard leader is nice, but i'd like them to take the division for obvious reasons. i hope the texas suckfest continues for years because it benefits the angels.
  12. you don't speak mota. he's combining what should be two questions into one garbled thought that comes out as an incongruous question. trust me. edit: think of me as a wiki for all your mota questions.
  13. i speak mota. he's asking him two questions. he's asking about the angels productive offense and also the fact that he used to play for texas.
  14. why is it that hard? NL and AL. basically same area. i've always been a like one in each league kind of guy. my favorite NL team is the cardinals, but i'm not a "fan" of theirs.
  15. we'd better. i'm just starting to come back around on jerry making some good moves after so many bad ones in a row. that would throw me right back into a wtf mindset.
  16. i give dipo and his staff a lot of credit for what they've managed to do in season on this bullpen.
  17. there's really no question. position player over starting pitcher every time. it's just a matter of specific availability.
  18. i don't see why joe smith is not a closer, but grilli and jepsen are. grilli has a strong yet brief history, but not this year. jepsen has anything but a strong history. joe smith has been lights out since being given the job, that's all i care about.
  19. sounds amazing like a nice swim in a perfect pool.
  20. who's making trout happy? mlb? yes, you are crazy.
  21. i'd say that if one more pitcher decides not to go, then richards is the next man up. there's still hope for you guys, because every year several players opt out.
  22. i applaud all of your efforts, but orange county is not going to beat out what is virtually the rest of the united states. if you look at the map of voting, it's just not going to happen, unless it's a household name like trout needing the vote.
  23. well, there's the answer for the wilson discussion.
