I don't disagree with you about the Browns not using the first pick on a QB but do you really want them signing Cousins?  QB is the most important position on the field but initial estimates are that he'll get one of if not the biggest contracts in NFL history.  Denver needs a QB but I hope they stay away from Cousins because I don't want them locking that much money up in him.  Maybe I'm wrong and he'll go on to be a HOF'er but he's been sporadic at times and hasn't shown enough to warrant landing one of the biggest contracts in NFL history.  That said it's all about the guaranteed money.  If whoever signs him structures it so that the guaranteed portion is reasonable (at least in NFL terms) then they have an out if it doesn't work out long term.
Good move by KC because they aren't going anywhere with Smith, the move frees up cap space and they can move forward with Mahomes.

Barring some drastic changes happening in state over the next 30+ years the only thing that would keep us here in retirement would be family.  I could see pushing to leave even before then if it comes down to the quality of life we can give our family.  Nice weather only goes so far when you have a HCOL, state leaders who oppose the feds when it's convenient for them, increasing crime rates, decreasing quality in public schools and so on.

If it came down to statistics and the HOF decided I thought they would go with Montreal.  Awesome news to hear he wants to be depicted with an Angels cap on.  5 out of Vlad's 6 seasons here they went to the playoffs.  Makes me think about the saying 'you don't know what you got till it's gone.'  We were spoiled and it makes me appreciate his time here even more.

Well deserved.  The best thing about Vlad was the fact that he always looked like he loved every minute he was on the field.

According to this Apple will spend 350B in the US over the next 5 years which includes hiring 20K people, opening a new US campus and paying 38B in taxes due to the repatriation of money they previously held overseas due to archaic US tax laws.  As noted in the article "Some investors said the U.S. investments would give the company room to make more stock buybacks or pay dividends without criticism."  Frankly if they're planning to spend anywhere close to that in the US over the next 5 years I'll give them a pass on conducting business like most every other major corporation.  I find it interesting when people criticize corporations for trying to maximize profits and answer to investors.  That's kind of what 99% of for profit businesses do Apple just does it on a larger scale and their investors are all over the world vs. a local private company that may cut costs when needed to run lean, the local mom and pop shop that is just trying to maximize their own profit and the list goes on.
Edit - I see that I Craig'd Tank as he posted a similar article from yahoo in the general board.

I know it's easy to armchair QB but that attempted "tackle" by Lattimore going low when Diggs was going up for the catch is just really confusing.  I get that he didn't want to get a PI call but the ball was in the air and he had every opportunity to play the ball.  Lattimore had a damn good year, is going to the pro-bowl and he's been given a lot of well deserved praise but I'm sure that's the last thing on his mind right now.

I was wrong and it was the safety Williams and not Lattimore who made that poor attempt at a tackle if you want to call it that.  An article I read pointed out the same thing Lou - tackle Diggs in bounds and that's game. Great game just the worst possible way to defend that last play.

Actually it was a matter of enough people believing that a specific woman wasn't fit for office and that woman happened to be the one the democratic party was basically forcing on it's constituents.

I wouldn't be opposed to that but that's what citizens were told back in 1986 when Reagan granted amnesty.  The estimate then was about 4M illegal immigrants in the US and currently the estimate is 3x that or more depending on which study you read.  The problem is that even if the current administration enforces the laws there's no guarantee the next one will.  We can't keep doing this dance every 3 decades while political parties use it to their advantage because in the end taxpayers foot the bill and the middle class and below are impacted the most.

I have a hard time saying it's cruel because they're talking about ending something that was called TEMPORARY back in 2001.  When those individuals came here and were granted TPS I don't believe it was meant to be a way for people to come into the country and never leave but when the feds haven't been enforcing laws or securing the border that's what it turns into.  This is what decades of not addressing the issue of illegal immigration gets us.  The article says El Salvador isn't ready for the influx of immigrants back into their country but the US has been dealing with this for decades and it's a burden the system can't handle.  I don't blame anyone for wanting a better life but there's hundreds of millions of people if not billions who have a low quality of life and we can't help them all.  The best thing the developed world can do is try to help the developing countries so they can make a better life for their residents.

As would I.  Some of the updated mock drafts with the first 20 picks set have shown them taking Josh Allen, Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley.  Allen is a raw prospect who will take time to develop, Darnold I just don't trust and if you take a RB that early he needs to be the 3 down Gurley/Elliott back or else it's a wasted pick when you can grab someone else later.  At 5 they could have their pick of the top tackle or even guard which isn't a sexy pick but teams that dominate the trenches are the one's you see year after year in the playoffs.

The movie was good but not great and it felt a bit long.  As someone else mentioned it's a setup for the third movie and once I can put it context of being part of the completed trilogy maybe I'll like it more.
