calhoun's misplay was a big part of that meltdown in the 9th, so i wouldnt pick him.  id say richards 6 ip of shut out ball with 10 k's is most impressive.

in hindsight i would have rather kept amarista, we might have 3 to 4 wins more at this point.

my one gripe with this lineup - why have ice-cold Howie in the lead-off spot when Cowgill has done a great job in that role and clearly will be feeling good tonight?

I would be perfectly content if Pujols retired after tonight. It's painful watching this washed up has-been trying to reclaim his former glory.

Joe Smith was UNAVAILABLE because it was 4-3 Astros instead of 4-3 Halos?  The worst manager in the game is the one getting out coached by Bo Porter.     Iannetta is behind many of these losses as well. He is a horrible defensive catcher and pitch caller. Whenever he is starting regularly, we are losing.

For some reason Skip didn't care about a catcher that could hit until we got Iannetta?
