  1. Have they ever removed someone's picture because of poor performance? If so, Hamilton and Wilson are prime candidates to come down from that wall next year. Replace them with Aybar and Calhoun
  2. I see it like this: He might care, he might not care. He certainly doesn't appear to be caring from watching on TV. But I don't care if he cares or not. Only thing I care about is the production, which is awful. This team has had a ton of try hards that sucked. I'd take a lazy guy who could produce over one of those guys (Hamilton is clearly not a productive player though obviously)
  3. He probably does care. But it doesn't matter. He makes a shit ton of money and sucks at baseball. That's enough to deserve being booed. People spend hard earned money to go to game, it's not surprising that they get frustrated about poor performance by a guy making 25 million dollars. The sooner Arte eats this contract the better. Maybe give him half the year next year, then consider eating it if he's just awful. Bottom line is the Angels are a better team without him moving forward probably...in year 3 of a 5 year deal. That is pathetic. Arte was robbed
  4. They just need a more balanced approach. Stop ignoring first round picks is a good start. A stud starter would be nice but they've already been burned by Wilson so it really won't be all that surprising if they don't land one.
  5. They really need to enter Spring training with 8 or 9 guys who can start in the Major Leagues. They entered this year with 6 guys (Weaver, Wilson, Richards, Santiago, Skaggs, Shoemaker) who they thought could be at least league average, and they got burned by it. Injuries happen. Wilson and Santiago both can't be starters. One of them has to go to the pen, the other will be the 5th starter. I'd sign 2 respectable starters this offseason. Then when Richards gets back someone else will probably be injured. Going into a season with 3 MLB starters (Weaver, FA, Shoemaker), Wilson, and Santiago is playing with fire. Richards should be back by June but who knows Dipoto is going to have to get creative
  6. lol 8 K's in 9 at bats....still don't like this move by Mattingly...Ethier is horrible
  7. Hamilton is done in this league Pujols maybe 3 more decent years of production before he becomes a below average player most likely 2022 can't come fast enough...sheesh
  8. Lackey's career numbers in the playoffs: 111 innings pitched, ERA under 3. You are batshit crazy if you'd rather have CJ Wilson on the team than that guy. I don't care what you think of him as a person I personally was a huge Lackey fan. The man pitched his ass off for us, and won game 7 of the world series. Nothing to be bitter about.
  9. The NHL is the best league of the four major sports currently iMO
  10. Let's start with Iannetta: Very solid season. Definitely worth every penny of his paycheck this year. More than solid offensively, below average defensively. I wish they'd DH him next season and bring in a real catcher that can handle the position (Russel Martin is awesome but also will be pricey) Conger: Awful awful awful offensively. I think his time in the Angels organization is up. Defense is average all things considered. Yeah, he frames pitches pretty good, but his arm is shit. Problem is all the backup FA catchers are pretty horrible. I really wonder though if Conger even has a future with the club past this season. Really disappointing offensive results from his
  11. Bonino looked pretty good for Vancouver against the Oilers. Gonna miss that guy in a Ducks sweater As for the Oilers...I'm really liking this Yakimov guy. Big, with some obvious hockey sense and puck skills. Him and Nurse may be able to add some size that the Oil are lacking
  12. In terms of heartbreak, this isn't close to 08 or 05 for me. Hell, even 09 was more heartbreaking despite making it to the ALCS In terms of actual on field play...this is the worst the Angels have ever played in the playoffs IMO
  13. 50%-Scioscia 50%-offense 0%-Dipoto...The pitching staff got bit by the injury bug. Not his fault.
  14. You can say that but you can't fully absolve Sciscia of blame. Game 1 was winnable, but he made Kole bunt in a huge situation (which he never did in the regular season). Hamilton's fault? Sure. Scioscia's fault for playing him? Yes. CJ Wilson shouldn't have been pitching tonight
  15. Cron hitting ahead of Iannetta is a disgrace. **** MS
  16. Why would anyone get a pit bull Just awful dogs all the way around My senior year of high school, was going on a hike with a few friends, we were going down this hill...at the bottom of the hill was a white fence. A pit bull came out of no where, ran underneath the fence and starting chasing us back up the hill. Thankfully there was a chain link fence at the top of the hill that we were able to get to and hop over...but it was pretty scary seeing the aggression and mean streak in that 100 pound dog
  17. Iannetta and Calhoun among those who need to stay. Santiago has shown some potential and should be our 5th starter next year. The bullpen is good.
  18. Not sure if I understand not letting Pestano have another batter or two there. But whatever
  19. This could be the series that costs Mike Scioscia his job finally. There have been some inexcusable decisions made by him
  20. Hamilton and Wilson both starting is a ****ing joke. Scioscia could lose his job because of this crap. Crazy
