  1. You're the best man....I think we should all bow down to your genius behind our computer screens.
  2. Yes please..massive upgrade on McDonald/Beckham...can spell Aybar and Kendrick
  3. They didn't pass on Greinke. They got outbid by a team that is completely out of control dishing out ridiculous contracts. Plus that was 2 offseasons ago now. I'm not seeing why that matters right now. At that time there was still hope for Wilson being a top 3 starter. It's pretty obvious that hope is gone at this point.
  4. Miller Park is absolutely fantastic and way underrated. I'd say it's top 10 easily. Went there last spring break...just a beautiful ballpark. My 2nd favorite behind AT&T
  5. The Yankees don't have the prospects to get Tulo. The Red Sox absolutely do, but they might be happy with Boegarts at shortstop. I think Boegarts, Betts, and their best pitching prospect probably gets it done. Colorado isn't close to contending and needs to get value for Tulo while they can Edit: Forgot the Red Sox signed Hanley Ramirez. Boy are they stupid for giving that contract...Hanley is a horrible defender at short
  6. I agree it's nice they have a good bullpen this year. I'm just saying there are some red flags as far as pitching goes. Last year down the stretch the bullpen got overused because our rotation could only go 5-6 innings every game (Wilson was going 3-4 which is ridiculous). You can't sustain that the whole year. The team needs at least 3 starters that can go 7-8 innings any given start. I love Weaver but he's a 5 and 2/3 quality innings type pitcher at this point in his career. Santiago we'll be lucky to get 5 2 run innings out of. Shoemaker has shown great potential to go deep into ballgames. Richards is an ace. So I think they need one more pitcher that can help save the pen. Because Wilson, Santiago, and Weaver (as good as he is) ain't the answer to saving a bullpen
  7. Would have been nice but no big deal. I don't like Beckham and he's too expensive for what he provides. They need someone who can really field well and play multiple positions. I thought Aybar and Kendrick were a bit overused last year(both up over 155 games played). Would be nice to be able to give them a day off every once in a while to keep them fresh for the playoffs. Hopefully we can get an actual good utility player this year, not someone as terrible as John Macdonald was last year. He had no value and needs to retire
  8. Niese would be a good #4, Gee would be a nice #5. Don't see either of them as much more than that in the AL No interest in Colon
  9. Uhh.. feel free to make your own prediction. I said 85-90 if they don't make any signings/trades to bolster pitching. That's taking into account an extra year of decline on Weaver, Wilson being terrible (likely), and Richards being out for a month. Shoemaker might regress. Santiago might regress. Their are some question marks in the SP rotation, so yeah I say 85-90 if no changes are made
  10. Kansas City was 17th in OPS last year. 14th in runs. Would you really be surprised if the A's were an average offensive club next year? I agree they won't be good, but I don't see why they can't be in the 15-20 range in OPS like the Royals were this year. So yeah, you can contend with a mediocre offense. Pitching is more important anyway in the playoffs
  11. 85-90 wins as it currently stands. The proper tweaks makes it a 93-95 win team IMO They probably overachieved a bit last year but they're still good and will most likely make the playoffs. Couple solid moves to bolster the rotation can put them over the top
  12. 1) Stanton and Fernandez 2) Trout and Richards 3) Sale and Abreu 4) Posey and Bumgarner Just my opinion
  13. Lol don't blame Beane. Blame their ownership for giving him no financial flexibility at all. He can't keep Donaldson and Shark because he has to squeeze every ounce of value in return because he knows he can't re-sign them It's not a bad trade and the A's are still a threat. They still have 5 above average starters.
  14. Good deal. But the last 3 days show why the Angels won't be participating in the free agent market this offseason. Upgrades are going to have to come through trade.
  15. Because managers are idiots. Duh
  16. Sacrifice bunting a runner decreases your chances of scoring a run
  17. Calhoun and Aybar bunted multiple times total is what I meant. But I think you knew that, and you were just being obtuse
  18. Actually he did, when he had Calhoun and Aybar bunt multiple times. It worked out well
  19. Except for the Big Catorce who can't get it done
  20. Could be true but with Moreno not willing to go into the luxury tax it seems as though Pujols and Hamilton have crippled our ability to win anything. If we got a new manager that wasn't afraid to bench a veteran that's performing terribly, I agree it could help. Hopefully we can make some trades for some solid prospects in the near future
  21. Let's face it, this franchise is screwed with the Pujols, Hamilton, and Wilson contracts. Time for Moreno to sell the team. This is an old roster that can't win now With these former steroid guys all sucking it's time to rebuild the minor leagues. Maybe we'll have a chance in 2022
  22. Team defense was pathetic. Really beginning to question Boudreau. We don't play a very solid defensive system
  23. I'll give him another season before I worry. The guy was superhuman his first two years...and still very good this year.
