  1. Come on guys! Take what this guy gives you...you can milk a walk of this guy
  2. Please tell me you're joking. This is baseball, not hockey, football, or basketball. Baseball. He only had to chase 2 balls really the whole game. He's been working out the last 2 weeks. You really believe that crap?
  3. Saying every playoff Angel crowd since 2002 is not true at all. I remember in 2005 vs the White Sox it was almost as bad as tonight...and we were only a series away from the WS that year. There's almost a pretentious vibe to Angels playoff games at times. Some people just can't be bothered to stand up and cheer on a big 2 strike pitch. Tonight was the worst I've seen It for a playoff game though. It didn't feel that much different than a regular season game. Really the only difference was the thunder sticks and the amount of people there.
  4. I'd feel better if he had respectable numbers for a power bat with marginal defensive ability signed to a fat contract. Something like 25 home runs, .465 slugging. Pretty reasonable expectations. Don't care where he hits them either. Problem is that he rarely does hit them. It's Vernon Wells all over again, except he's signed for an extra season. Can't make this shit up
  5. I don't know how you bounce back from that kind of performance for 4 months to being a respectable pitcher at this level. I'm sure it's happened before, but I don't like his odds. I'd be shocked if he finished his contract in an Angels uniform at this point
  6. Who cares if he cares or doesn't care? That's a cop out from the actual problem. The actual problem is that he sucks and Scioscia doesn't have the sack to sit him down. Another problem is that he sucks and is making a fat check for the next 3 years. I'm tired of reading about this guy cares or this guy doesn't care and blah blah blah blah blah. It's about performance. It's about results. Cowgill is a better all around ballplayer than Hamilton and he's not getting on the field. Simple.
  7. I'd rather see Santiago for 3 and Rasmus for 3 then Wilson starting. He has had one good start in 4-5 months. Unbelievably bad. At least Santiago had a good stretch of pitching semi-recently, and Rasmus has been good all year
  8. I swear he managed differently tonight than he has all season long. Kole never bunted in any situation during the regular season. This team won almost 100 games, and this fool wants to change shit NOW? Insanity. Also, Cowgill in for Hamilton tomorrow. It has to happen. Enough catering to the overpaid players. You can't put guys in the lineup that have been awful all year (CJ for game 3 and Hamilton)
  9. My God, screw this guy. My soul can't take anymore of him and Hamilton
  10. I was there and it was absolutely ****ing disgraceful. I make fun of Dodger fans a lot, but I feel like I've now lost that privilege. Me and 4-5 other guys in my section were the only one's actively rooting for the team. Hamilton and Pujols are shitbags that need to be booed....but not gonna happen from this soft crowd Edit: Before the game was promising. I thought it'd be a good atmosphere. It was awful though. Most of the people there don't like baseball
  11. Its less about Shields and more about CJ being awful
  12. I'm not asking for 3 home runs in a world series game. All I want is him to hit like a solid MOTO bat. If he does that I won't complain

  14. KC will win. Oakland damn near blew a double digit lead on Seattle in a month and a half. I just don't see them beating Shields tomorrow..
  15. I'm not worried. I don't believe in momentum heading into the playoffs. The team mailed in the last 5 games which is fine. They deserved a small mental break. As long as they come out ready to go on Thursday who cares
  16. If you say so. He's been the best of the 3 when healthy. theyve all been great but like I said Sale has the best numbers in the toughest yard to pitch in. I'd pick him
  17. It's a clean slate come Thursday. I don't mind them getting a little reality check before the playoffs. Honestly, the season depends on game 1 if Shoemaker can't go. I know that's a pessimistic outlook. But being down 0-1 with CJ going in game 2 of a 5 game series is a tall order for any offense
  18. Sale Kluber Felix I just can't bring myself to pick anyone other than Sale. He's been too Kershaw-like. Yeah, his numbers aren't quite at Kershaw's level but they're darn close, and he pitches in a harder league and ballpark.
  19. The Brewers having more wins than the Giants the last 10 years is surprising
