  1. Love Floyd. I'd have them ahead of Zep For me: Stones Beatles Floyd Zep
  2. It's not about height. She's not strong enough, or good enough to compete with NHL players. She'd get injured
  3. It's not that huge of a deal for a country with legit resources to treat it. Africa flat out doesn't even have enough beds to isolate people in. That's why it's a threat there. I highly doubt anyone in America dies from this disease. On top of that, this is not that easily passed from one person to another. Body fluids have to be passed, so I don't see a plague situation developing here at all
  4. The Rolling Stones vs. The Beatles vs Led Zeppelin A few buddies and I were involved in a heated exchange recently. The Stones are my favorite...
  5. So why are we back to bunting and giving long leashes (Hamilton and Wilson) in the postseason? That's my point, Strad. He's been doing this crap in the playoffs for too many years. It's obviously not all on Sosh, the last 10 (!) years are just alarming in my opinion. A decade is a long time
  6. You don't get it, do you? It's not all Sosh's fault - not one person has said that. The bunting and Hamilton playing has absolutely contributed to two close losses though. People aren't even frustrated about just this series. This is a lot of frustration about the last decade coming out at once as we get outplayed by a meh team. At some point you can't brush failure in the playoffs off as a fluke. Folks here lay into the A's about their inability to get it done, but this team is the same way. They have 1 more series win than the A's in 10 years. They've increased payroll steadily throughout Scioscia's tenure - there really isn't much of an excuse for that kind of sustained failure in the playoffs. So yeah the players have taken a huge dump in the playoffs this year, but they've been doing it for 10 years now and the roster is completely different than it was in 2004. That doesn't make you wonder at all about the manager?
  7. The Calhoun bunt, and Hamilton playing 2 straight games (and looking completely overmatched) are fireable offenses. He definitely should have been fired after 2012...at this point I'm beginning to resent Arte Moreno. At what point is this shit not good enough? A message needs to be sent in the worst way. Scioscia's had a nice career as manager of the Halos, but it's nothing special in the grand scheme of things. 5 postseason series in 15 years as manager is nothing that says he's gotta continue being manager. It's time for a change. He's too stubborn, and refuses to change his style that hasn't worked the last 10 years
  8. I wish I could say I thought the same. But Shields vs. Wilson is so ugly I just don't think we're getting past that game. If we do though, anything can happen...no doubt
  9. Whether he has balls or not isn't the main problem IMO. It's part of the problem. He just overmanages and makes the wrong decisions too often. Playing Hamilton is something that I do really wonder about though. The catering to veterans is not new with Sosh. We saw it with Wells, GMJR, Abreu, Finley, etc. That is something that does make me question his courage and ability to say enough is enough and give a young guy a chance. I think he lets his loyalty get the best of him far too often. In the playoffs you just can't have that crap. You need the best 9 guys out there. I look at other teams lineups, and there are no automatic outs like Hamilton is right now. Watched the Giants play today, and man, 1-8 (pitcher bats) those guys are not easy outs. Everyone's a threat to have an 8 pitch at bat ending in a basehit. Putting a guy as bad as Hamilton is in the lineup at this point in the season is basically waving the white flag
  10. It's really bad. Moreno and Dipoto need to consider a change. 12 years of failure is a long time to still have the same manager at the helm.
  11. Swept by the Royals (probably) first round after missing the playoffs 4 straight years. That is not a good 5 years no matter how you spin it. Scioscia is not some kind of sacred manager that can't be touched. At this point they need to legitimately evaluate some possible alternatives. I mean it's not like this team makes the playoffs every year. They got in this year which was awesome, but this kind of failure in the playoffs is something we've seen way too much since 2002. It's not all his fault obviously, I just think it'd be ludicrous to not reevaluate his job. 2 postseason series wins in 12 years is bordering on pathetic.
  12. We've either missed the playoffs or gotten bounced first round. Making fun of the A's is awesome but our manager can't get his teams past the first round very often either...let's not kid ourselves.
  13. Scioscia thinks Grilli and Salas are better than Morin? I disagree
  14. Nice work Trout. Single ties this up, double gives us the lead
  15. Go home Hamilton. You ruin everything. **** Scioscia for playing this piece of ****ing shit
  16. I've gotta good feeling about this inning. Please let me be right for once
  17. Come on string some hits together now boys!
