  1. Kevin Hart's Don't F**K This Up documentary was really good.  When I first started watching it I figured it was something that his team created and put it out to make him look good but it covers a lot of his mess ups and shows him being an ignorant ass.  I thought it gave a real look into the life of a famous person taking off into stardom and the pitfalls that may come of it.  It felt really honest which i appreciated.

Miami UPS worker allegedly hides packages worth nearly $3G, steals them later, police say

A UPS seasonal employee in Florida allegedly hid packages containing electronics while on the job and later stole them, police said.

The Miami employee, who assisted a full-time driver in unloading packages at several locations, was arrested for stealing packages on two different occasions this week, according to court documents.

Emmanuel Reggin, 18, has been charged with third-degree grand theft for allegedly attempting to steal at least $2,800 in electronic equipment, according to arrest records.

Court documents said the first incident took place on Monday when Reggin was unloading a UPS truck with 5,500 boxes delivered to a Miami Nektova fulfillment center, which, according to its website, is a global distributor of branded consumer electronics.

As he was unloading boxes, Reggin allegedly put three packages under several dumpsters outside the company, investigators said.

The packages contained nearly $2,000 in technology equipment, including two Kindles, an iPad 7 and a Microsoft Surface Pro, according to the affidavit.

Video surveillance obtained by Miami police allegedly showed Reggin returning later Monday evening in a silver 2015 Nissan Altima to retrieve the packages.

The next day, Reggin was working at the Nektova facility again, assisting to unload 2,500 more boxes. When he was unloading on Tuesday, he grabbed three more boxes, court documents said, adding that he had placed one under a dumpster and the two others inside a different dumpster.

A Nektova facility manager was later notified that a package was spotted under a dumpster, according to the affidavit, which added that the manager then checked the rest of the dumpsters and found two more packages.

The packages contained an HP laptop and two Sony PlayStation 4 consoles, court documents said, adding that the merchandise was worth more than $1,000.

The facility manager reviewed security footage and immediately notified a UPS investigator.

On Tuesday evening, Miami police and UPS investigators were at the facility investigating when Reggin drove past the building, according to court documents.

When Reggin noticed police were at the facility, he fled the scene but was stopped several blocks away, investigators said.

Officers searched the car and found two Kindles in the trunk, arrest documents said, adding that Reggin confessed to stealing the packages. He told investigators an iPad 7 and Microsoft Surface Pro were at his Miami home and investigators then went there to get the items, according to court documents.

“UPS is working with law enforcement and the person in question is no longer employed by the company,” UPS spokesman Matthew O’Connor said in a statement to Fox News.

“We’ll defer further comment to the responding authorities,” he added.

No one wants to comment on his last name...

I finished Jack Ryan S2 last night. While I still thoroughly enjoy the show, I agree with a lot of people here that the back half of this season felt a little rushed and they made some odd choices with story direction. Still entertaining as hell in my opinion, but I think that's mainly because it fills a space genre-wise that isn't really being served much these days.

This season felt like the story line from Clear and Present danger.  It used a lot of that movies best scenes and wrote them into this season.

I recommend having it professionally installed. The system we have is simpler than that one, consisting of the three main elements, tank, and faucet.

You can do the annual filter changes yourself.

We have an Ecowater system. They frequently have a rep at Costco, selling their soft water systems. They do the RO systems as well. It's a reputable company.

The system we have is actually simpler than above:

I had a similar system in my first condo.  It made the best tasting water i have had and the ice cubes would be crystal clear, no cloudiness. The downside is it takes up half the cabinet under the sink.

  5. I work for a technology company that deals with health insurance carriers and their products.  We did some research on these to see if we wanted to add them to our product listings and there were a few red flags.  For the most part they work as advertised but we found many examples of them failing too.  Some families that have serious medical issues sign up for these plans because of the savings over a traditional plan.  This ate up the groups balance rather quickly and cost healthy members of the group a lot more money than they would have paid for a traditional insurance plan.  We also found a many instances that the "sharing group" refused to pay the medical bill and left the debt solely on the patient.  There are no laws requiring them to pay for a bill that you submit.  One example i remember was a women had an emergency delivery while pregnant.  There were complications and the Dr ended up having to perform a hysterectomy right after the delivery.  The insurance would help pay towards the delivery costs but said the hysterectomy was an "elective" procedure, she was unconscious when the dr made this decision that was to help save her life...  Not trying to discourange you just letting you know what we found.

  6. I worked on the ADA team at Coachella for a few years back in 2010 and 2011 so I have some good stories.  CeeLo Green hopped in my golfcart one time when I was near the camping area.  He said that some girl was going to "suck his soul through his D#@K" if he stayed there any longer.  Another time I was working in the lot for handicapped parking and the oldest brother from Malcom in the Middle pulls up with an SUV full of people.  I tell him he can't park in there without a handicap placard.  He is nice and says "Ok no problem" and then just drives to the other side of the parking lot and double parks behind someone elses car.  I walk over to tell him he still can't park there and he hands me and the other guy working $200 each and the keys to his escalade and walks in the venue without saying a word.  We moved his escalade to this corner spot in the lot and backed up a trailer with 2 handicapped porta potties on it and blocked him in. Wish I saw his reaction when he came back.

  7. I like it.  We are injecting a lot of youth into the roster right now so they will already be familiar with him and he doesn't have any obligations to the vets so its be productive or get comfy on the bench/press box.  His failures in Edmonton dont scare me.  The gulls playoff colapse last year was concerning but they looked good this year so I still like this hire.

    That includes student loan debt.

I know a young couple who graduated from a private university with music degrees.  Both are 25.  Combined, they have $280,000 of student loans.  He's trying to become a securities broker, and she's working at Trader Joe's because nobody else will hire her.

Seriously! I went to a state school so that I didn't need any student loans.  I might not have a "prestigious" degree but I had $0 student loan debt when I graduated.

  9. People need to make smarter decisions with their money too.  Its easy to save when you live with your parents but everyone wants to move out asap and be on their own.  I lived at home through college instead of renting somewhere like most of my friends and had a fulltime job at the same time.  In those 4 years I saved up enough for a down payment on a 2 bedroom condo in Anaheim.  Rented out one of the rooms to a friend for the 5 years i lived their because i couldnt afford the $1,600 mortgage on my own.  Sold it for 150K profit and bought a 3 bedroom house in Anaheim with the profits.  My mortgage is now $1800 and I only owe 244K on a house worth 570K.  I have never made more than $55K/year at my job and yet i have friends that make 100k+ a year and can't afford to buy a house in OC.   I understand people have different situations then me and not everyone could do this but i always saw renting as the biggest waste of money and made my monetary plans around that thought process.

The River Charles will be overflowing with the beer tinted tears of the Chowds tonight. It was a pretty egregious non-call but I’m over it now

Yea, you hate to see a noncall lead to a goal.  I did think the Bruin threw his leg that wasn't contacted in the air pretty aggressively trying to draw a call which I hate too.

BTW.  This coaching situation is just becoming strange.  I really would have thought Eakins would have been named by now.  Is he asking for too much money?  Or is he just happy where he is?  Because it's not like the Ducks are interviewing just NHL coaches.  They are going down to the AHL ranks.  It's just a strange situation.  Maybe I'm just too anxious, since we got eliminated like a year ago, and this is the normal course for coaches.

I am guessing the ducks are looking to interview one of the assitant coaches on one of the teams playing for the cup.
