It's not being forced. It's just a matter of the government saying if you'd like access to this public service (free education) you must have your children vaccinated. If you really don't want to do that though, it's fine. Just take them to a private school or teach them at home.

it seems the "confederate flag" was a very fluid situation. when people talk about the confederate flag that is flying in south carolina's capitol and cite it as a symbol of their heritage, they're not really being very accurate historically.

I did some more digging on the flag history thing, and here's what I found: Confederate flags are super confusing really, because there were a ton of them. I was slightly wrong in my earlier post... While the Army of Northern Virginia did use a square version of what South Carolina is currently flying above its capitol, Tank is right in that the rectangular version was a naval flag (one of a few different naval flags as well). That same naval flag was also used by the Army of Tennessee, because apparently the CSA was a freaking tech start up where nobody could decide on a uniform logo. Keeping that theme alive, the one Tank posted above was the first Confederate flag, but apparently it changed a couple more times during the war. You could argue that the square version of the thing flying above the capitol in Charlseton was the CSA flag for a few weeks in 1865, but only because the Army of Northern Virginia was the only remnant of the CSA at that point.

Sounds like you just ran into the world's worst car salesman. I've done that for a living in the past, and while there are tough days and tough customers, if somebody comes in and tells a salesman that, then leaves without buying a vehicle (assuming there aren't major credit issues and the customer isn't insane) the salesman's job is often in jeopardy.

I'm with you there. Churches shouldn't be forced into offering their facilities to anybody really. I don't care if it's because the couple is homosexual, they've lived together before marriage, they're too short, or they wear too much body spray. I believe church leadership should be able to choose which events they want to hold and which ones they don't.

The SCOTUS doesn't make laws, they simply review them. Our system isn't perfect, but it's good to have a group of people that are experts on the Constitution (and don't have to worry about re-election) make sure legislators (who aren't necessarily experts on the Constitution, but do care about re-election) don't get out of hand.

Any law "forces" people to do things, possibly against their will. Some laws "force" people to do one thing in order to do another. This isn't a new concept or a bad one. If people don't want to vaccinate their kids, then they can have their children educated outside of the public school system. it's a matter of choice. Some might even say that they're free to make their own decision.

I've used it in Costa Rica and Tempe. Great deals with no issues whatsoever either time. But do your research. Look at pictures. Talk through any questions or concerns you have with the person you're renting from. Get an idea of the check in/check out procedure. In short, just be thorough and trust your judgment and you'll more than likely have a great experience.
