Since the break, only 3 of the top 15 have. Ohtani 1.129 & Rengifo .970. Ward 1.115 12 of the 15 are .676 or lower. 7 of them are .563 or lower.

Of the guys they gave up, Quero was the only one that really hurt. You can say that they have O'Hoppe, but to trade him for a rental that you can't even get a compensation pick for is a waste. At least if you trade him in the off season for an established player in his final year before free agency, you have that player for a full season and can get something in return either by trade or compensation pick.

Yeah.
What these 3 have in common is they didn't give a shit about performing once they put on an Angel uniform, and at that point it's hard to even respect them as men, much less ballplayers.

Perry made a huge bluffing/probing raise and got re-raised. He's correct to fold here, even for a small amount.
Yes, it's embarrassing, but it's the right play to try and get under the tax level. Not for the benefit of Arte's wallet, but for the benefit of keeping your over-tax count at zero, for potential future flexibility for the franchise.

I thought about this too. It’s going to be tough luring top free agents here unless things drastically change from the top, down. Sad

Does this (positively or negatively) affect how the Angels are viewed by people (players, agents, execs, coaches, etc.) in the industry?
The biggest potential negative, IMO, is if it turns people off towards joining the Angels in the future.

We just got off sweeping a Judge-less Yankees team, took 2 of 3 from the Pirates and swept the Tigers. Not exactly what I would call running the gauntlet and not enough to warrant going all in at the trade deadline. Not to say they shouldn't have made any trades, just not ones involving your top prospects. They could have had Lorenzen for much cheaper.

The Angels are now back in 30th place in both OPS and ERA for the month of August. They had managed to climb up to the 29th and 29th spots after the Mets series, but consistently throwing meatballs right down the middle of the plate the last two games, didn't help the ERA.

Arte Moreno must be so proud of what he’s done to this franchise.
And make no mistake, it’s ALL on him, no other common denominators since 2010.

At this point, I think the rest of Trout's career is going to be similar to Griffey's career after he left the Mariners. He'll still have moments, but Griffey averaged 105 games, 23 HR's 66 RBI's in his 9 seasons with the Reds.
Griffey had averaged 155 games in his last 4 with the Mariners. He didn't have the luxury of the DH with the Reds though.

I've been having posters whine and cry to me that i'm always posting negative comments and such.  But look at the facts and the organization's actions.  When something positive happens, i'll post about it and certainly will enjoy that moment.  However, it's all crap and clown show.  Anyone who thinks otherwise and is enjoying this organization and supporting their actions is clueless and living in a dream world.
