    It's a cultural organizational problem!

At this point it doesn't matter who the manager is.

Unless u get a personality who introduces a different way of playing baseball that permeates the organization as a whole.

    Yeah, someone like Sosh!

Hate if u need to, but this organization had it's best years with Mike Scioscia at the helm.

That's the problem. This organization has a losers mentality. It comes from the top on down. I don't see any available manager that is going to have the clout to change that. Bochy was probably the only one, and I have a feeling the only two jobs he would have come out of retirement for were the Astros, or Rangers jobs. Give Theo Epstein a blank contract to become Team President with full authority over baseball operations. I don't trust anyone else that's available to be able to deconstruct and completely rebuild this organization which is obviously what needs to be done at this point.

    Wow! Great research!

Definitely has seemed like teams take advantage of us giving them extra outs, and that proves it.

Of course that's what professional ball teams are supposed to do, seems the Angels got that message lost in the mail...

Pitchers are supposed to bear down and suck it up when the fielders make a mistake. It's the same when the pitchers walk a few guys, the fielders are extra focused to maybe turn a double play to get out of the inning. Angels' pitchers seem to crumble at the first sign of trouble.

  3. It seems like the Angels' pitchers give up an excessive amount of unearned runs after errors have been committed. So, I decided to look it up. Going into today, there are 7 teams that have committed 80, or more, errors. I'm purposely comparing to teams that have made a lot of errors because those are the pitching staffs that have had to deal with the most runners on base that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Total errors / total unearned runs scored:

    Giants 96/55

    Red Sox 94/50

    Tigers 89/52

    A's 85/49

    Pirates 80/57

    Marlins 80/45

So, on average, those teams have committed  87 errors and have given up 51 unearned runs.

    The Angels???

85 errors and 78 unearned runs!!! Almost 1 for 1 That's including the error, and 3 unearned runs given up tonight.

Same amount of errors as the A's, but 29 more unearned runs allowed

I wonder if arte will still try to sell just ohtani and trout merch at angels stadium even when they aren't on the team next year???

I remember getting a really great deal on a bunch of Vladdy jerseys at the team store after the 2009 season. They were 80% off. I didn't care he wasn't with the team anymore. I loved Vladdy! I bought 5 of them. lol

And Arte wonders why people hate him for not selling the team.  Hell with excuses, he's not the only reason but the MAIN reason why we have a long season losing streak.  If it quacks like the reason...

The last time before this year that this team played meaningful games in August (forget September, August!) was in 2015 except for the covid year when 30 teams played meaningful games in August.

this might be the worst team in the last 2 decades record wise when all is said and done

I'm starting to seriously wonder if they can even match last year's horrible record at this point. 73 wins seems like a long shot they way they are playing. They'll be 64-74 after tonight. I don't know if this team can even manage to go 9-15. They're really that horrible right now.
