  1. You gotta exercise dude. It’s not even about the calories you burn from exercising, it’s about how exercise causes you to stay disciplined and make better eating decisions. You are less likely to over eat if you sit down for a meal right after having exercised for an hour.
  2. You think that line is strong enough to indicate positive? When my wife and I were positive, the bottom line was as bright as the top. My parents recently came down with something and my dad’s test looked a lot like yours. Then my mom got sick. Multiple tests came back negative, and now they think they actually had RSV or something other than Covid.
  3. Statistically, there really isn’t much comparison. Trout is truly that amazing.
  4. I didn’t say I wouldn’t love to have Mackenzie in the organization. I just said I wouldn’t give up a guy who by all accounts was a top 5 prospect in baseball just a couple seasons ago. And my reasoning for that is what, by all accounts, is a very bad homerun rate (which isn’t something that is easy to correct). And for the record, I have serious concerns about Adell. But I liked the improvements he made last season and still think he could be a dynamic player. Mackenzie, on the other hand, may only have middle of the rotation potential (and that assumes he conquers homerun rate issue). Would you pull the trigger on a Mackenzie for Adell swap?
  5. No. MacKenzie seems to have good potential, but that horrific homerun rate is too concerning.
  6. Maybe. But maybe not. They gave away Iglesias for nothing at all. And they gave away a starter earlier this year for nothing at all. It all depends on the market. Gray isn’t a top of the rotation guy and really doesn’t have the potential to be one. He shouldn’t cost too prospects.
  7. I agree with you. Well, anything in the top 5 or 6 guys. But I gotta believe you can trade for Gray without having to part with Adell, Marsh, Detmers, Bachman or Paris. If the cost was, say, Jordyn Adams and Denzer Guzman (our 3 and 9 prospects according to MLB.com), that’s a trade you have to consider making.
  8. Collin McHugh is the guy I’d like to see the team target. Sign him, and trade for Sonny Gray. The pitching would be pretty good at that point.
  9. I have had the same idea. Richards was very solid in relief (2.90 FIP) and obviously isn’t a bad depth option to start. But I do think he will be more expensive than someone who can give comparable production in a relief role because of his ability to start.
  10. Terrible mechanics. All arm.
  11. I don’t disagree with any of this, though I suspect homerun tendencies are a bit like control/command: hard to improve (at least significantly so).
  12. You should go back and re-read what I said, rather than make an illogical conclusion based on your own assumptions. My point was simple - Detmers gave up way too many home runs. Nobody should reasonably disagree with that. Of course he may improve on this, and hopefully will. But some guys never correct certain weaknesses, and Detmers’ bad homerun tendencies thus far - albeit in limited innings - is at least slightly concerning.
  13. He gave up 15 home runs in 82 innings. How is that not homerun prone? Hopefully he gets it under control, but you can’t give a homerun every 5.5 innings and expect to be successful.
  14. Detmers is homerun prone. He was in the minors, and he was in Anaheim. Unless he gets that under control, he will never be more than a number 4.
  15. I don’t think the Angels will (or should) spend on Correa. But damn, that lineup would be stupid.
  16. Canning’s problems last year seemed to be entirely a problem with consistency. He had many very good starts, showing that the stuff is clearly there. But he also had a number of clunkers. That’s obviously going to be the case with most pitchers over the course of any given season, but it seems to have been more pronounced with Canning last year. If he can iron out some of his consistency issues, he should easily be a number 3/4.
  17. I’d be happy with Greinke. He is about as sure if a bet as there is to give you consistent, 3/4 production, while staying healthy.
  18. At this point I’d be thrilled with adding Greinke and holding onto Marsh, Adell and Detmers.
  19. Not only this, but the starter they added is a massive injury risk. They absolutely cannot rest on what they have done. A dependable starter with a track record of being able to make 30 starts - e.g., Castillo or Stroman - is still necessary.
  20. Agreed. We need at least one more right handed, high leverage arm. Preferably two. And a high quality starter (like Stroman). And a shortstop. And a backup catcher.
  21. Please share. I see little to like looking at his stats.
