Cobb should be a high priority. Yes he is a health and performance risk, but if he wasn’t, he would cost Scherzer money.

But my point is that many of the guys the Padres traded will never sniff the big leagues, or will flame out early on. Consequently, the team control is to some degree merely theoretical. But the Padres got players whom they know, for certain (barring injury), will in fact play in the big leagues. So the team control is actual and less subject to risk.

Not to mention the guys they gave up aren’t going to spend 167 years in the big leagues.

Suarez has been one of the brightest spots of this season (and one of the least discussed). He continues to prove he is capable of being a very good rotation piece. If guys like Rodriguez and Sandoval can stay healthy, the rotation has a lot of potential.

I haven’t the slightest idea in this instance. I have no idea what documents they are fighting over. Application of these privileges depends on many factors - the document at issue, who created it, why they created it, upon whose direction they created it, what is the need for the other side to see it, etc. There probably isn’t just one category of documents at issue here, but probably a number of categories (with different privilege arguments associated with each).

Thanks man. Any recommendations on how long I stay isolated? My understanding is 10 days after onset of symptoms, and until your symptoms have all resolved. I guess my issue is that my symptoms have been mild so it’s a little hard to pin point the date of onset.

Did you test positive for the virus?

No clue where I got it. I am trying to recall whether I first started feeling symptoms on Tuesday or Wednesday. I went to the Angels game Monday, but doubt I would have started experiencing symptoms so quickly. I had a relatively low key weekend, just hung out with some friends and went to an outdoor restaurant. Other than the Angels game, I really didn’t have a lot of contact with anyone.

My wife bought an Abbot kit from CVS. I think two tests per kit, cost was $25. Pretty easy to use once you figure it out.

So I have been feeling slightly under the weather the last few days. I did a 5 mile hike in the hot weather today. It totally wiped me - harder than normal. I felt shitty even after. And I have been having nasal issues the last few days, with some lethargy. So I took a rapid Covid test tonight and it came back positive. Then I did another one, and it also came back positive (the rest of my family was negative). So I think I have this shit. But I don’t feel terrible and I was vaccinated back in March.

It’s fun to think about how good the pitching could be in a couple of years if health permits and some of these guys progress in their development. Ohtani, Bachman, Detmers, Sandoval, Rodriguez - that’s a nice if core if healthy.
