hmm, I wonder if I can get away with saying that I'm Justin Verlander's second cousin thrice removed and start a rumor that he is actually married to Justin Upton, and not Kate. I don't particularly believe that Trout is taking HGH but I'm going to say we should probably keep this thread up because it is a topic that's trending on twitter, and deleting it would show quite a bit of bias on the matter. Even if he's our guy we can't shy away from a hot topic. Chuck gets the final say in the matter though, but I won't delete the thread.

I disagree about being completely meaningless. The penalties on the Astros will hurt the team for quite a while, and the removal of the "mastermind" Cora from Managing (for what I'll guess will be at least a couple of seasons) will affect both teams implicated. I do think that players involved shoud be suspended as well, and the Astros should forfeit the 2017 WS Title (But not give it to the Doyyers).

I think given what he inherited, and the constraints that the payroll put him under over the past few seasons Eppler has done a decent job. It seems that Arte is more "Hands on" when it comes to personnel than maybe other Owners? So Eppler kind of has to balance that out a little more than other GMs. Obviously not getting a top tier FA Pitcher this season has brought out the pitchforks again, but I think he is a pretty steady hand at GM. It could be worse we could still have DiPoto (What a garbage fire in Seattle).

He really fell off after 2016. Played only 12 games last year with Baltimore. I've always been a fan of his and would love to see a comeback season, he'll be 34 entering Spring Training this year. I actually have no idea if he is still with Baltimore or if a free agent. 2016: 47 HR, 108 RBI, .256/.316/.533/.850 (159 G) 2017: 23 HR, 65 RBI, .234/.289/.397.686 (146 G) 2018: 17 HR, 44 RBI, .261/.313/.452/.764 (90 G) 2019: 0 HR, 3 RBI, Rest of the stats don't matter as he played in 12 games in 2019
