I think the most jarring thing is it sounds like they are still playing music as if they are interacting with fans (Like they played "We Will Rock You" earlier) like its obviously fake, but I think no "white noise" would be even weirder.

Piping in crowd noise was the right call. It's super weird when the crowd "reacts" to plays, but it makes me think of playing MLB the Show. For Angels games they should just loop @tdawg87 yelling "I'll be in my bunk" over and over again.

So back in March I paid for the MLB.tv service in full like I do each season ($121.99) and then the world went to shit. I got an e-mail the other day saying they are refunding back $76.81 due to the reduced season which I thought was really cool of them, I also hope that they lift the blackout rules for this season especially since nobody can go to games this year.

I'm excited, it's basically a sprint to the playoffs and something different. I would have prefered more games but I'll take 60 games over none.

I would have been happier with a schedule closer to 80-100 games with the season starting on July 4th, but I'll take 50 games over having to wait until next year for baseball. Also a 50 game season actually gives a sense of urgency towards a playoff chase, it could be fun. I do worry about a potential stoppage in the fall if a second wave hits and State Governors start locking down again. I just want to see some freakin' baseball lol

My Tampa trip was cancelled earlier this year but I am in the process of rebooking it, have fun! I won't be jealous at all, lol

Now I know why I stay out of this thread, lol For the record Chuck and I exist on the complete opposite political spectrum and it's never affected our friendship, and our political dialogue has always been respectful, so yes, it can be done. I respect the freedoms of people who have different political opinions and have come to the conclusion that maybe my political beliefs aren't always right. I know someone on the internet who can admit they are wrong from time to time, shocking. Now back to the baseball forum for me.

That was a lot of fun. Victor is legit an incredibly gracious guy. He is also very self deprecating and hanging with him on Zoom was like hanging with an old friend. Thanks Chuck for setting this up, baseball talk with Victor made my week.
