Meh. Bullpen isn't very good but that's being magnified right now by the lack of offense. Most bullpens are going to look shitty when a team struggles to score 2-3 runs per game.

I'm starting to lean towards no. I think I'd be in favor of trading every player of value, including #27. This franchise needs a reset button. And Trout is amazing but I'm starting to feel like he's not Mickey Mantle. Fielding a patched together mediocre team hoping to catch lightning in a bottle every season for the next 6 years doesn't sound like a smart plan.
I'll gladly eat shit come July if the Angels are in first and Trout is hitting .300 with 25 HRs but I think we all know that's a pipe dream.

It'd be horrendous. But at least there'd be a horizon.
Besides, is it much fun to watch now?

I'd rather watch a team with awful pitching and a great offense lose 10-8 every night instead of this 3-2 bullshit. At least then there'd be a lot going on. These games are boring as ****.

**** Alvarez but when your 5th or 6th reliever gives up the 3rd run of the game in extras, **** the offense even more.

The offense is predicated on the idea that Trout and Pujols will both drive in runs consistently from the middle of the order. We can assume with relative certainty that Trout will do his share, but if this is the beginning of the end for Albert, this team has no shot this year.
We just don't have the pieces to go get a MOTO bat. A couple complimentary guys, maybe, but not the stud we would need.

The difference being, these past 6 games, you know, count.Also, read my post - did I say the offense was going to be awful all year because of these 6 games? No, I just pointed out a couple stats about how anemic it's been so far.
And yes, I think you should be publicly ridiculed for your insane comments the last week of spring about how our b squad beating the Cubs in a meaningless game meant we would beat them when the season started.

Tropeano for the next couple of weeks, and then hopefully Skaggs will be ready. This is a tough blow. Heaney being a legit #2/3 guy for us was one of the keys to the season.

It's one thing to lose to those guys, it's another to look absolutely pathetic while doing so. Go watch a good offense face a top shelf pitch - at the very least they come with an approach and make them work.

Doggies won big last night, Harper homered, Texas and Houston both won their first game - all this in addition to the Angels getting beaten like a rented mule last night. Wonderful start to the season :/

The turning point for Richards was the Bryant AB where he had him 0-2, didn't get a called strike 3 that he should have (and that Arrieta got all night), and then subsequently walked him. You could tell that he mentally lost it after that. But, hey, that's a great lineup and Arrieta is about as good as it gets right now. Tough opener but hard to take a lot from that.

He's normally a pretty intelligent, level-headed poster - that was batshit insane.

c) it's a bunch of 20-something guys playing a game that doesn't count - wouldn't put too much stock in it
d) Jake Arrietta is pitching tonight
e) you need to give up on this silly line of thinking about ST games, you're better than this
