If he doesn’t play anymore he’ll finish his career at 87.0 WAR, 28th all-time, third highest among first basemen (not counting Musial) behind only Gehrig and Foxx.
Of course only about 5.6 of that is with the Angels. Hard to get over the fact that he averaged 0.6 WAR per year as an Angel. They paid him to be Gehrig and he was Quinlan.

Fan Appreciation Day should have an Albert Pujols Paperweight giveaway.

It's not about ALBERT what's best for the TEAM.

Less than zero is still zero.

Players of Albert's caliber all have a chance to go out on their own terms. Sticking around 5 years past your expiration date means you gave that up. If he was making league minimum on a non-guaranteed contract he's probably gone back in 2016 or sooner.

Not sure how much there is to the story of him being pissed for being out of the lineup. But if it is true, he must have made a huge stink...

Arte grew impatient at the thought of improving the pitching on the team.  I hope he gets impatient with owning the team and sells them.

I really hope more players have the balls to follow his lead.

Clevinger is ripping into all this from the players point of view. Good for him. MLB wants this to disappear, but I think it's only going to get more intense.
