Thank you SlappJtilityMIF, mOnkey, and everyone else for the best wishes. I've been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks, but I should be going home tomorrow. 
 
This has been my 5th hospitalization of a week or more since November, 2023,anr I have been very sick most of the rest of the time. 
 
Basically I keep getting infected with a staff infection, and it probably is the same staff infection that they have never fully wiped out of my system. When I went into the hospital 3 weeks ago, my fever was 104.5 and my blood pressure was 80 over 40. The staff infection was doing it's best to kill me. Those really are not a good combination for a person on chemo or in any condition. Every time I've been hospitalized, the numbers have been the same. 
On top of everything prior to my current hospitalization, I did some controlled landings/falls where I really banged up my right hip and left arm. I have a torn tendon in my left arm and fluid in my right hip. It's like I'm a left-handed starter for the Angels and Anthony Rendon all in kn! When I checked into the hospital, I had to have paramedics carry me out of my house and an ambulance take me to the hospiital because I couldn't walk at all. And, to make matters even more fun, some of the medicines that I've been taking to deal with my cancer caused my cataracts to grow. I had one cataract surgery done prior to my hospitalization, but not the one in my right eye. I'm essentially blind in my right eye, and my left eye, which had the surgery hasn't been fitted for contacts, so Imy vision in that eye is not good, even after the surgery. 
 
Long story shirt, it has not been an easy or fun year for me. People on here ask "how can you still watch Angels Baseball?". Let me tell you, when you have been as sick and injured as I have, Angels Baseball is a pleasant and welcome distraction for 3-4 hours a day, everyday. 
 
I El consider myself, through all of this, to be very lucky. I have a very strong support network of friends and family, including all of you, and especially Chuck and others, that have helped me get through it all I aporeciwtenprayersnfeomnanyone and everyone and from any religion. I do believe that they can be answered, although sometimes, when I watch the news and they have a "human interest story" about some very sick person, I ask G-d to pass the prayers onto some of those people because I can take another day of his if it heals someone worse off than me. 
 
I'm still not mad about getting my cancer (which I still have and for which their is no real cure, only ways of managing it), and when I've been healthy, still getting chemo. My only problem is was that I got a curable cancer instead of the one I got. 
 
So far, it hasn't seemed to have affected my family too much. All of my sons have driven down to visit me in the hospital. I did have to watch my eldest graduate last week on livestream because I couldn't be there, but he understands. They just want me back home. 
 
For the past week, I've been indergoing intense physical and occupational therapy. It was just over a week ago that I was able to get out of bed and stand up on my own. Now I can walk without a cane or walker close to 500 feet without a cane or walker. It is a true miracle to go from being bedridden to walking again and doing other things for one's self, such as bathing. I strongly recommend if you are ever in a situation like this to first listen to your body and to to the hospital when sick. And second, put the hard work in with physical and occupational therapy. Yes, it hurts. But there are 2 kinds of jurt:there is the good hurt from using muscles and joints that you haven't used in a while and the bad king of hurt when you overdo things with your injuries. As my favorite author would say "pain reminds us that we are still alive". 
 
I know that that seemed like a long-winded tale of woe. Trust me that's the Cliff Notes version of my last 8 months or so. Thsmats why I haven't been able to get out to the IE to do some interviews or writing. But I will get better and stronger and will get back to doing more as soon as I can. 
 
Again, thanks for all the prayers, good wishes, etc. It's nice to know how big and wide a support network that I have.

Played 2 games at the Arizona Complex League, then got hurt again. Hasn't played since May 7.

The Braves sent him down to their AA team in Mississippi for a start tonight, presumably because they were a little short-handed on starters due to some promotions.  He went 6 innings and only gave up 1 run on 2 hits, 2 walks, and 2 hit batters.  He's now pitched 17 innings over 6 games, including 2 starts.
It's going to be hilarious when he gets called up to the majors as a pitcher.

It was nice. We walked around the city, did a day trip to Salyulita, and went to a few tequila distilleries. Never felt unsafe. It was just hot as balls and humid because it was October. I’d go back, maybe not with the person I went with the first time 🤣

We've seen a once in a life time player on a hall of fame trajectory come and go and yet the Angels are no better off than they were when you posted that.

Right after the Detmers demotion.  That first round (at least a good majority of it) of the 2020 draft is looking pretty mediocre.

Let me throw another tidbit at your seriously strange existence.  Maybe she didn't want to focus on being a wife and a mother because you live with mama and there is no future in you. You are not ready to be a husband and a father point fucking blank.
