.067 hitter PH for a .035 hitter.

Seriously, asking Lastella to purposely strike out might have been a better option.

A strike out is OK, Trout with the bases loaded is a nightmare for them.

Ichiro's retirement brought back so many fun memories about the Mariners.
I especially love the 2010 season, when Ichiro got 214 hits, but scored only 74 times, while Mark Reynolds scored 79 times with 99 hits(.199 BA).
Russell Branyan led the team in HR with 15, Franklin Gutierrez led the team in RBI with 64.
Felix Hernandez had his best season(250 IP, 2.27 ERA) and won 13 games. They also had Cliff Lee, Doug Fister, Jason Vargas in their rotation, and lost 101 games.
What made it so sweet was that the fans were talking smack because they signed Chone Figgins from us that season.

I'm a fan of the Seibu Lions and Yusei was our ace, but I never trusted him in big games. He has crumbled under under pressure too many times.
He's had some great years, that's for sure, but he walks too many guys and gives up the long-ball, and doesn't have a splitter, the pitch that the Japanese pitchers have depended and thrived on so much in the Majors. I don't see upside either so I would recommend passing on him.
Also, he has not been friends with Shohei either, and it seems to me that he does not like to be compared to the super star that Ootani is.

Mike Trout isn't the problem at all, it's much harder to find an all time great with humility than an arrogant superstar.
IMO, what Trout really lacks is a rival and a competitive team. Bryce Harper not living up to the hype has actually hurt Trout.

The struggle against lefties is real(9-19 record against leftie starters), and embarrassing when you consider how right-handed heavy the lineup is.

How can we not put this guy in the starting lineup?
-
Angels are batting an AL worst .224 against lefties, and are 7-16 against left handed starters.

Just now, Blarg said:
That really wasn't a hit and it would have erased Trout on a fielder's choice since it was almost hit in the same place as Upton's fielder's choice.
Yes, but it is likely it wouldn't be a DP. Or let me say this, Trout wouldn't be IBB'd in the first place if Ohtani was hitting behind him.
-
We seriously gotta put Ohtani behind Trout. You need somebody who is not DP prone.

As long as they beat the Dodgers, I can consider the season a part success.

Great research, I'm very thankful for it. I enjoy your writing as well.

Love how Barria gets behind 3-1 in the count, but seems to be in complete control. He has tremendous confidence in his command.

Barria, the 21 year old No.6 starter is on track to be 5-1.

Alvarez shouldnt' have pitched to Altuve, but I'm not gonna sit here and say that he should have gone to Cam. I guess the blunder was having CAm warming up in the first place and not somebody like Blake Parker or JIm Johnson maybe?
The bulk of the blame should be on creating the bases loaded for Altuve situation. I'm not confident with anyone getting out of that situation unscathed.

LOL, even when Kole gets a hit, he makes outs. The man is cursed.

Josh Hader pitched 2.2 innings today, so he likely will only appear once during the next series against us.
