Well it's not the trains fault. The real question is why is our system set up in such a way that makes it impossible to do basic things that other countries have no issues with like building a train.

What system is that? The right to control the land you own privately?

  2. As expected. The crowd attacks the trucks.

UN food agency warns that the new US sea route for Gaza aid may fail unless conditions improve | The Hill

"The operation was halted for at least two days after crowds looted aid trucks coming from the port and one Palestinian man was killed

Deliveries were stopped Sunday and Monday after the majority of the trucks in an aid convoy Saturday were stripped of all their goods on the way to a warehouse in central Gaza, the WFP said."

I get it. It's much more fun to make watermelon and fried chicken jokes than to carefully reflect on the genocide you support.

I'm quite proud of those quips actually.

God has been known to do a genocide or two before, you know.

  4. Berlin–Munich high-speed railway - Wikipedia

Just hire the Germans to do it. Our government is full of retards.

"The Berlin–Munich high-speed railway is a 623 km (387 mi) high-speed rail line connecting the German cities of Berlin, Leipzig, Erfurt, Nuremberg, and Munich. The line was opened on 10 December 2017."

"Construction began in 1996 and cost about €10 billion ($11.8 billion),[5] making it the most expensive transport project in Germany since reunification.[6] The line traverses the Thuringian Forest and required the construction of 22 tunnels and 29 bridges."

  5. I don't care if the Angels are overpaying Trout. I couldn't give less than a shit about the "production" or lackthereof they're getting out of the contract. This guy is loyal, and seems intent on sticking with his original team until they can become winners. Which hopefully they will someday soon. Because Trout seems to agree that there's a lot more satisfaction in winning in the place that you started than jumping ship to somewhere new where it's expected, but where you have no history. It cheapens the value of winning.

I'd rather them overpay Trout a billion times over than overpay the likes of Pujols, Hamilton, etc.

    Let's fucking go Trout 👏

No, it doesn’t. I’m talking about two broadly applied policies (legal abortion, universal healthcare) and their known (for the sake of this argument in which you’re a giant hypocrite), quantifiable impact on behaviors and lives.

You, like a monkey, are comparing a singular and unknowable outcome to a policy and its known/predicted outcomes.

I don't agree that they're comparable, in the slightest.

Legalizing abortion is the state giving the go-ahead for people to take an action that has immediate negative consequences for another life.

"Universal Healthcare" in the broad sense is an entire system dedicated to providing affordable access to health care professionals. The absence of this system is not "no healthcare." It's ridiculously complicated to quantify, and you can't even guarantee it's a net benefit to life expectancy. The mean life expectancy of countries with universal healthcare is 76.7 years. The life expectancy in the US is 76.4, a negligible difference.

    How am I being hypocritical?
