  1. If he screws his lawyers, I'm sure they won't be shy about going public with everything they have. A-Roid is just arrogant enough to believe that they only reason his case didn't go anywhere was because his legal team was inept.
  2. This is unbelievable. Re-homing a child is easy. No state or federal laws specifically prohibit it, and state laws that restrict the advertising and custody transfers of children are often confusing and rarely spell out criminal sanctions.
  3. I think so. ...if he tries claiming malpractice, his lawyer-client privilege will be waived, with the possibility of damaging testimony becoming public.
  4. Guess he is now face to face with the big fag hater in the sky.
  5. The last hospital I worked on had one on my floor.
  6. I guess the conversation goes like this: "Asshole." "Sorry, don't have one."
  7. I'm not a big fan of wrapping breakfast in a flour tortilla, although I generally like Farmer Boys food. They moved into the Las Vegas market about 4-5 years ago. There is one about three blocks from my workplace, and one is under construction about three miles from the house.
  8. We have been looking in the wrong place. Apparently it was farther off course than we thought. This is a bad fake even by supermarket tabloid standards. The plane in the illustration has four engines and obviously isn't a 777. They could have at least spent $20 or so and gotten a proper model.
  9. The Federal system doesn't have parole, or a complex time credit system like most states have put in to control prison populations.
  10. One thing that played into it was that he continued the same tactics after being punished before, sometimes in defiance of court orders.
  11. Once again I shall open myself up for public humiliation by putting my prognosticating "skills" on public display. Nevertheless, Go Gators.
  12. Joe was so dedicated to the fight that he kept it up after they got in.
  13. Blanton is a large sample size, and we know how horrible he was a year ago. We could call up just about anyone and at least match that performance, if not improve upon it. The Angels are trying desperately to get some production out of that terrible contract before it ends, IMO, and it is clouding their judgment about what must be done. They are so anxious to see any sign of improvement in Blanton that they see it everywhere. If Blanton went the rest of the spring without giving up a baserunner, would it make any of us more confident to see him out there when the games really count? My short answer is a resounding "no".
  14. My opinion is that the plane landed somewhere well off the beaten (and closely monitored) path. As a retired American 777 captain said, it would make no sense to fly for seven hours just to crash and die. He said that a 777 light on fuel (which this one certainly would have been) can land and stop on a runway as short as 3500 feet - which leaves literally hundreds of possibilities within the flight range of a 777 airborne for seven hours. Several of them are on remote islands.
  15. Not as talented as when your Final Four are all gone by the end of the first round.
  16. My fear is that he will perform just well enough to make the roster when we break camp, but he will get shelled as soon as the season starts. Not like it hasn't happened before.
  17. Looks like Gus Bradley is bringing a few former Seahawks to Jacksonville. Not a bad way to begin rebuilding the defense.
  18. I would have as well. I didn't have the money this year to make the trip, but I would have liked the opportunity to add to the support that was already shown.
  19. Working mental health units, I had two people try it on my watch. One nearly succeeded. I don't dismiss stuff like this. Most anything can be lethal in the right circumstances.
  20. What is the over/under on the day they cut him? Maybe we should have a thread and let people guess.
