Yankees if they get Snell will have a very difficult time extending Soto with the long term contracts they have on the books already.  They have Rodon, Stanton, Judge and Cole, for about $125 million so if they signed Snell that takes it close to $155 million Soto would take it to $200 million for 6 players.

Honesty I would prefer them to keep the DH spot open and just rotate guys like Rendon, Trout, Ward, Drury, O'hoppe or Thaiss. 
  Personally they are 1 starter (Snell/Montgomery) away from putting up a competitive team that could complete for a wildcard spot.

I don't believe he's a poor writer, nor do I question the veracity of things he's written, but it's getting harder to argue the dude doesn't have an agenda or an axe to grind at times.

I guess pitchers can get hurt at any time, it’s a tough gig, but there does seem to be something to needing the proper amount of “ramp up” time.

I don’t think it’s too late by any means right now but signing too far in to the spring could mess with your ability to be prepared for the full season. Not there yet.
