  1. For what it's worth @Jeff Fletcher said yesterday on MLBnetwork radio that Ohtani has been throwing. So that is definitely a good sign.
  2. I’m on board to get Frazier. His avg is low, but he gets on base, has pop, plays good, and is a great clubhouse presence.
  3. I don’t think there would be this many rumors of Angels connected to 3B, via FA or trade, if Eppler was comfortable with going into the year with Valbuena. I actually like Valbuena, but in a much more limited role. He shouldn’t be getting 500 ABs.
  4. Curious about this...would signing Darvish be a small slap at Ohtani? He wanted to come to a team, so we’ve heard, without a Japanese player. Would Ohtani immediately feel a bit upset at the Angels for signing Darvish? Now, I don’t think any player should have this kind of power over a team, but what are your guys thoughts on that?
  5. Now Dipoto has a $38 mil CF who’s never played the position, and $3.5 mil Ohtani Bucks that are set to expire. LOL
  6. This is a great moment for the Angel organization. Everyone expected Ohtani to be an Yankee. Then everyone expected him to be a Padre. Then everyone expected him to be a Mariner. No one expected him to be an Angel except us fans. I wish I could hug everyone here!!
  7. Perhaps with some of these reports into an investigation might make him steer away from Padres and Mariners. (Assuming they are the potential colluders).
  8. I was just thinking, how would anyone ever know if a phone call happened between CAA and DiPoto before this whole process? There’s no way to find out without govt assistance. Anyways, I could be wrong.
  9. With that said, it seems like the ball is in the Angels’ court to keep playing or put the ball down. Seems like Mariners are close to the max they can offer Ohtani. The NL teams are already maxed out. Angels are only team that can add significant money for their offer.
  10. Sadly, I think this analysis is probably exactly what’s happening. Ohtani wanted to be a Mariner and pitted three AL West teams against themselves, actually just the Angels and Mariners since Texas couldn’t really add more pool money. Ohtani’s agent knew the A’s weren’t gonna play the game and left them out. Hopefully Eppler can use the pool money on the rest of the Braves prospects.
  11. So all this time, there have been no leaks, and now all the sudden Bowden has a connection. I call BS.
  12. As exciting as the wait and hype have been, I’m ready for it to be done so we can get on to the 70+ free agents out there.
  13. I saw the tweet by Rosenthal but wanted to post before I could show proof. Too excited.

  15. Just a thought, but I wonder if having Scioscia with only 1 year left will be a negative point against the Angels in pursuit of Ohtani.
  16. Perhaps getting a little extra money really leaves an impression on him that the Angels want him badly and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure he's taken care of. Yeah I know all of the other 6 teams want him badly too, but in real life, it's always nice to see how much someone likes you.
  17. No problem! I'm actually moving to Tennessee (Knoxville) next year. So I'll be in the same boat.
