    Just my guess, it’ll add 1-2 HRs a week, that includes both home and away teams. That isn’t significant IMO.

    Yep, the ball still has to travel through the marine layer. Lowering the fence does not add a wind stream like in Arlington. Like Tank said, the effect will likely be minimal.

    I definitely wish him success on the field. He’s a good guy. I wish he could have worked out better for the Angels.

    One of the few places he can get a starting gig. I don’t blame him but I don’t know why any player would want to play baseball in Florida right now. He got a ring so I guess he has other goals to reach.

    I honestly don’t see Moustakas signing until after the date the draft pick compensation goes away. Isn’t it like June 1? That would give the Angels ample time to see how the 1B situation is working with Pujols/Valbuena.

    Beltre isn’t too happy with the Rangers right now because of their lack of improving. Would be funny if they improve by getting his replacement.

    I’ve suspected a while that Arrieta will go to the Phils.

    Just looked at his numbers and he had some success in 2016, but missed time last year with a strained right elbow and didn’t pitch in the majors in 2017. Just now release him at 24 years of age. Braves probably know something.

    Those 2/3 innings starts are gonna be rough.

    Kinsler, Trout, Upton, Pujols, Calhoun, Cozart, Simmons, Ohtani, Maldo I just don't see Ohtani hitting high in the lineup right away. Sosh will be easing him in.

    I like any lineup where Trout is hitting 2nd. For starters he will get more at-bats through the season. Secondly, when you have the 8 or 9 hitters leading off an inning, as an opposing pitcher, you have to account for Trout as either hitting 3rd or coming on-deck. So Trout has to hit in the 2 spot IMO.

    I guess Maybin was holding out for a starting job. Seems like Eppler would have kicked the tires on him.

    Good call tots. I saw where you mentioned Young as a 4th OF option. He’s a pretty good one.

    Valbuena isn’t going anywhere. Valbuena fits the Angels needs much more than Carter, or Cron would have. Not sure why people want LV gone so quickly. He can play the corners, hits left handed, and gets timely hits.
