I wouldn't be surprised if Guenin never sees Anaheim. Is there something in a two way contract that pays more even if the player spends the entire year in the AHL? We don't need this guy except for San Diego.

Life with a salary cap. You cast your lot with 3 or 4 higher priced players and they either show up in big games or you go home. 
I thought we were positioned pretty well with a balanced attack last season, but it didn't get us anywhere. I wonder if injuries (especially Rakell) hadn't taken a toll, if it would have worked.

I don't see Fowler bringing the return some think he will. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on our roster this year because no one would offer anything worth giving him up for. Maybe things will tighten up after the season starts. But I would think BM isn't going to get a good offer before then. And, then maybe not after.

that cap delta is like adding a top level talent. easy to see why kings and hawks are good year in and year out when they get an extra hossa or doughty type player.

The problem is the shutdown line is just pure shit aside from Kesler when it comes to scoring. Cogs and Silf are so bad its not even funny anymore. You just know anytime they're on the ice and a decent scoring chance appears it'll go nowhere due to the stone hands from Cogs or Silf air mailing every damn shot he attempts. So frustrating to watch.

Yea, he's seemingly always dog shit at home in pittsburgh.  To be fair though, none of these goals he's given up today have been horrendous or anything.  He just hasn't made stops.  Anyone else notice how really ****ing bad against break aways he is.  Like comically bad.  Its like a guaranteed goal given up.
