Burger Records is a creepy place.  The folks working there, and their friends, are always blitzed.
Last time I was in, there was a dude frying on acid trying to climb up on the displays to pick records off the walls.
 
I'm surprised anyone affiliated with that shop has the cognitive ability to organize a bake sale, let alone a concert.

They are doing this at punk rock bowling-Vegas in May, not sure about Musink in Costa Mesa.

I also have a fulltime job and a kid Rally. Skyrim is impossible for me.

Went down to San Diego a few months ago with my friends and saw The Offspring do Smash in its entirety and then a couple of their "hit" songs. It was ****ing awesome.

Last time I saw Bigwig was out in your neck of the woods.  Probably 2000 - at the Glass House.

Americana is arguably their worst record from the 90's.
 
Smash and Ixnay beat it by miles.  If they did Smash, and with Rancid doing Wolves, plus all of the great ska bands on the bill, I would seriously consider jumping on a plane.
 
Side note, being stuck in traffic this morning allowed me to listen to Wolves front to back.  It's a goddamn masterpiece.

So awesome.  I like how they add "performing..." next to some like The Offspring and Rancid.
 
I still maintain that Rancid ...and out come the wolves is one of the best albums ever made.

Someone tweeted yesterday "Brian Williams is the first person ever punished for lying about the Iraq War". Props if it was one of you who I follow on Twitter.

I'm anxious to see David Brooks apply this just forgive the lie and move on approach to the next election cycle.  I'm sure that whatever politicians get caught lying will be given the same "heal the relationship" approach that he applied here.
 
Williams didn't come clean ... he was caught.  He was called out by the military guys that were there.
 
Everyone knows the cable news channels and their anchors/hosts are full of crap, so the bar is much lower for them.  But when you are the main guy on one of the nightly news shows for the major networks, you've got to be someone people feel they can trust.  You have to be Cronkite-like.  Brooks said, "Williams’s transgressions were not part of his primary job responsibilities."  Brooks is wrong.  If you're in that role and you're knowingly manipulating the truth (or just flat out making stuff up), you're transgressing against your primary job responsibilities. 
 
I love me some Brian Williams.  I think his hosting performance on SNL years back was outstanding.  I thought his appearances on The Daily Show were great.  This whole thing really bummed me out.  But he had to step down as "the main guy."  
 
I do look forward to what his next chapter in life as in store though.
