pretty siiiicckk!
That's my projection.
I like Howie.
But we have Green, Lindsay, and Yarbrough behind him. He's good enough to net a solid pitcher or two.
I'm fine with keeping him. If we stay in the race keep him. If we fall out of the race trade him for an arm or two at the trade deadline.
plus it pushes Shuck to a bench role which is proper
though I'd be ok with any of Green / Jimenez / Cron being worked into the DH rotation at some point
I like it!
On MLB Network this morning Sosh said Trout would probably hit 2nd or 3rd because leadoff is wasting his RBI ability. Plus he wants to keep him connected to Pujols and Hamilton so maybe that's 2-3-4, Trout-Pujols-Hamilton.
Has Arte ever signed a PED's guy? (knowingly, don't say GMJ)
Arroyo looks like Hanson part 2.
I'm still hoping for a miracle like Price/Bailey/Tanaka, etc. If we got one of those I could stomach Richards at #4 and Arroyo at #5.
Maybe Garrett Jones as 5th OF/DH/1B. He might be preferable to Cowgill. He's a left handed bat with over 100 career HR's; maybe DH fallback if we trade Trumbo for pitching. Shuck/Jones as 4/5 OF's.
Kind of reminds me of Russell Branyan who had a couple big swings for us, not many though.
Bourjos catches like a wide receiver; And he has a gun and will get some outfield assists.
His speed will cause the other defense to make throwing errors. He strikes out way too much.
