  1. If I recall correctly, Detroit has been under one party control since 1961. This is obviously not healthy regardless of which party it is. I once read that if we were completely left wing or completely right wing we can do nothing but go in circles. We need balance in order to go forward.
  2. I myself am anti- label. Choosing to have an abortion based of the child's sex and simply because of that seems wrong to me. In the future when sexual preference can be determined in the womb, will we also have that as an option to abort? How about the race of a child if multiple partners are in the picture? With advancements everyday in DNA stories and genetic profiles are we headed to designer babies? We can abort because the eyes are wrong color of blue? If abortion is going to be legal ( and it is), the law should be fairly strict. The article seems to be talking about the funding of abortion and not the law. Myself, I would not want my tax dollars paying for an abortion simply because the baby wasn't going to have an athletes body and handsome features.
  3. What's more pretending to be American than pretending to love baseball? Actually I think Mr Reed is an elitist more than he is ignorant. A lot of people try to fit in by talking out of their own element. That doesn't really make him ignorant. Thinking he can say whatever he wants and never be questioned does make him an elitist. Especially when he knows he is lieing.
  4. The Fox team of joe, Tim, and Ken is impossible to watch. Tim trying to describe the lyrics of "Sandman" by Metallica, Mariano's walk in music, was ridiculous. I sent Stradling a txt in the sixth inning and told him that Rivera would win MVP. They barely mentions trout at all during the broadcast. Mariano got the most play. Then Harvey. Then Cano. The integrity is disappearing quickly from th game.
  5. Your opinions of his colors and fence distancing along with funkdamentals exclude the proof of soft hitting racialists.
  6. Halo mudder, Halo faddah Nice home run, let's hits a naddah Free agent signings, have caused us paining, And we get tired of scoscias post game explaining I went to bat, with Albert pujols He was so good with the cardinals Had a beer with josh from Texas He couldn't tell the plate from where his ass is All the coaches, lack fundamentals Our best player, still has pimples Drive me home now, if you can josh Don't just stand the at the plate grabbing your crotch Now I don't want you getting teed off But now they got Aybar batting lead off You remember division crowns Our bullpen doesn't not even scott downs Drive me home, hey mudder f:-;@r Drive me home, just need a single don't leave me at second where I am stranded by a flare Drive me home. Hey mudder f&@-:r Drive me home, just a fly ball Your fundamentals are so lame For crying out loud this is only a simple game. Wait a minute, we started hitting Balls are flying, Oakland is shitting! Playing baseball, gee that's better, At .500 I will feel even better My apologies to Allan Sherman, stradling, and my mom.
  7. Erik is brain dead. All the tools to be the best but never will be because his mental approach always seems to be lacking.
  8. Sniff! Stradling gets his writing skills from our mom. I miss her and her "Disco Sucks!".
  9. Snoopys brother spike lives in Needles. I used to go thru needles going to Laughlin. Up thru bullhead and across the bridge. Then I found old river road. A little faster than going thru Arizona now that it has built up on that side of the river.
  10. That's too bad I realy like Rapp.
  11. Aybar is wildly inconsistant in doing fundamental things with a bat. Popping up with a runner at third with less than two outs earlier this week. Swinging for the fences a lot when he really doesn't have that kind of power. Seems like he is always behind in the count. He has all the tools and could be a top tier SS on offense along with his gold glove defense.
  12. It's time to realize just how important playing in half his in Texas was to his numbers. Not sure hat his splits were but the ball flies out of there and it has to help is overall confidence. It is a mental thing. His show during he HR derby at Yankee stadium shows that he should be able to hit anywhere. This 214 avg is ridiculous and it has been right in hat area all year. Is very. Frustrating. He has NO excuse to not hit at least 60 points higher. He has been behind or in front of trout trumbo Albert or Bowie all year. They are all putting up solid numbers. Numbers which would be spectacular if josh was just doing his job.
  13. The two worst judges are Arron Sanchez and the Indian looking expert on Scandinavian cuisine. Are you kidding me? Arron is a self important jerk who thinks he is better than anyone else. He needs to take his tatted ass back to the hood where he is better than everyone else.
  14. I suppose his numbers actually went down when manny was caught. Plus if he gets to be more selective by rarely seeing a called strike while behind in the count it makes it so much easier to hit. Lets not forget George mitchel as a minority owner of he redfux and I seem to remember there was only one obscure redfux name in the Mitchell report. Ped rumors floated around Ortiz, manny, green well, conseco, roger, foulkes and several others. But hey never really got past rumor until they left Boston. Baseball knew what was going on and condoned it.
  15. Ortiz said at one point hat he knows he was on the same list hat Arod was on before hey started testing. So he has in a roundabout way admitted he juiced. But he has sure backtracked on hat over he last few years. His transformation from he light hitting David arias in Seattle and Minnesota to the slugging David Ortiz is much more than just hitting in a bandbox. They started testing in earnest and his numbers went down. I think he has just found the newest of substances they don't have a test for yet. If he were to leave Boston he would be outed just like manny was.
  16. It took thirty minutes to get armed police officers to the scene. Are you ****ing kidding me! If it took thirty minutes here in America the terrorists would have already been surrounded by thirty citizens with their own weapons. The police here face lawsuits when they have a slow response time. Can you imagine the damage these assholes could have done if they had brought guns to town instead of cleavers? With no rapid response it could have been even more devastating.
  17. Ingot ten out of ten but the Heineken can question was a guess.
  18. How about Bennie and the Jets! We all sang along.
  19. I think the whole approach of our coverage has changed. I remember three years back or so listening to TerrySmith and angel talk after the games. It seems to me that he wouldn't bad mouth the Angels for nothing. Wouldn't be he slightest bit critical at all. Now he is not afraid to call out a player when he doesn't get the job done. Victor came in and brought a new attitude to our broadcasts. I love when he says something like, " fastball right down the middle for ball two". We as a whole have not been afraid to call out a bad call. I think it makes for a better bond between announcer and fan. Now if we can just get the stadium guys to show controversial replays on the big screen during the game.
  20. It was Merv Rettunmund. Was that a guess oracle? Or did I give it away with my hints? By the way Joe Rudi, if memory serves, was lights out with he bases loaded. It seems like he always produced in those situations. I was a kid so my memory could be a bit clouded.
  21. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. We all just have to find our way brought it.
