    I said it in another thread, I can see Dipoto using his knowledge of the Angels' farm system to shore-up his own and dump salary at the same time by trading Cano to the Halos.

    I watched his press conference. Man, that G.M. mixes his metaphors. Hopefully he will make better personnel choices than he did with word choices. Otherwise, we will hear about turning-the-cap and tipping-the-page after every game. . . . or maybe he was trying to make Jose Mota feel at ease?

    I wonder if Dipoto will try to get rid of his contract. If he does, I wonder if Dipoto will poach his former club's minor league for talent like he did to Arizona when he first came to the Angels. If so, I wonder if we will see a Newcomb trade?

    Peralta's splits away and vs. lefties seem mediocre.

    I was only impressed with Cowart's defense this season. At the plate both Cowart and Kubitza look years away from being able to contribute--if at all. I don't think the Dodgers are going to resign HK, I don't think he wants to move, I don't think Mike was happy he was traded, and I don't think he will cost that much.

    I've heard a few posters talk about wanting him back. Does anybody remember the one game Howie played at 3B in 2006? Could he be a serious candidate for 3B next year?
