"The decision to reinstate the Heisman Trophy was based on a "deliberative process" by the Heisman Trust to monitor a sea change in college athletics in recent years. The Trust cited "fundamental changes in college athletics" in which rules that have allowed "student athlete compensation" to become "an accepted practice and appears here to stay."

"We are thrilled to welcome Reggie Bush back to the Heisman family in recognition of his collegiate accomplishments," Michael Comerford, president of The Heisman Trophy Trust, said in a statement. "We considered the enormous changes in college athletics over the last several years in deciding that now is the right time to reinstate the trophy for Reggie. We are so happy to welcome him back.""

    i think this is fair.

Awesome. Let’s allow steroids and crown Barry Bonds the GOAT.

That makes about as much sense as proclaiming that the biological mother of a murderer is an accessory to murder by virtue of giving birth to the murderer.

No, it doesn’t. I’m talking about two broadly applied policies (legal abortion, universal healthcare) and their known (for the sake of this argument in which you’re a giant hypocrite), quantifiable impact on behaviors and lives.

You, like a monkey, are comparing a singular and unknowable outcome to a policy and its known/predicted outcomes.

changing opinion on abortion vs free healthcare is not the same thing.

I dunno, man. If we straight up agree that abortion is knowingly ending a life/causing a death/resulting in years of healthy life being lost, you’re doing the same thing by not supporting the systemic changes to approaches and access to care that universal healthcare would provide.

You can go ahead and argue the relative minutiae of intent and values related to government run/funded care here, but the outcome is the same: lives lost, years lost, health lost (unborn children included).

    Never change, my guy.

I guess Republicans should have taken the first deal that had border security in it then if they were going to pass it anyways and just ignored Trump.

“Let’s replace border security with a TikTok ban, another thing that we may be for or against on any given day depending on polling research and the whims of our idiot pied piper.”

The former president is listed as an unindicted co-conspirator.

The indictment, which includes felony counts of conspiracy, fraud and forgery, also describes Trump as an unindicted co-conspirator.

“Defendants and unindicted coconspirators schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office against the will of Arizona's voters,” the 58-page indictment reads.

The names of seven of the defendants, including Meadows, Giuliani and Epshteyn, are redacted, but the document makes clear who they are by describing their roles. Others include attorneys John Eastman, Jenna Ellis and Christina Bobb, as well as Trump 2020 campaign operative Mike Roman.

Ken Chesebro, an attorney who helped devise Trump’s post-election strategy, is described as “unindicted coconspirator 4.”

“Release The Kraken” sure sounds like it may take on a new meaning.

    Remember that silly idiocy?

  6. How can this article completely push aside merchandising profits, marketing and licensing agreements (video games, etc) and theme parks (a highly profitable division where two huge bets on Star Wars properties drive tons of traffic)?

All of that is part of the calculus that goes into this.

That article is really long, super repetitive and completely ignores so much of the overall picture.
