  1. This organization has a complete and utter lack of self awareness. It’s comical really.
  2. This organization is so, so weird. I feel like it's a monkey continually throwing their poop on the wall to see what sticks.
  3. Great bounce back game by Detmers from the past two extremely ugly games. Hopefully it's the start of something and not a one-off. Rooting for ya kid.
  4. No way Nevin stays. Someone will be the sacrificial lamb -- and Nevin is as deserving as anyone (although plenty to go around -- Arte, Perry, scouting, medical/training staff, etc.)
  5. Failure is failure. That horse that keeps trying and gets to the finish line, albeit last each time, is not making me want to keep betting on him time after time. It seemingly gives more evidence that this team/organization is not one to be relied upon to make the correct/proper/good decisions in order to sustain & build a winning franchise (heck even just one year getting to the playoff or finishing .500 the past 8 years). How much more evidence and proof is needed to shoot this horse and put it out of its misery lol.
  6. True -- but then why would Ohtani resign for 2024+ when all these guys Perry traded for are FA and gone. So nothing he got will be here after this year. Further, Perry now has less bullets to use for future acquisitions in 2024+. Which are desperately is needed because there are not impact players available and ready from the minors. Nor would there be much, if any, salary available after signing Ohtani to a record contract. If i'm Ohtani, maybe i'm impressed that Perry/Arte tried. But that is done and over once 2023 ends because none of those acquisitions will benefit 2024+.....and the organization is now weaker (less assets to trade) going forward. If anything, i'm less inclined now to stay with LAA if i am Ohtani and i care about winning with the team i sign with this FA period.
  7. Arte and delusional fans were the only ones who thought this could be a playoff team and that they should buy. They doubled down on 15 with the dealer showing a King.
  8. Angels baseball: Amazingly consistent 8 years and running.
  9. Misery lol -- wrong guy. Dude, i'm realistic -- and that allows me to be happy because i'm not expecting something that is never going to happen. You continue to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny -- and have your hopes crushed each year. I don't get emotionally attached. Decades ago sure (1982 & 1986 even more so crushed me); but since 2022, i'm good. The injury thing is comical. Every team has injuries. What was their record before the injuries? Around 500; at best during the season, barely above 500. Adding Rendon into the DL equation is funny because he's a waste of $Millions. Most of those other guys are replacement level guys at best. Good teams have proper depth. That's the problem with this organization with Arte buying the expensive toy to show off -- it comes at the expense of having a good, proper minor league system and scouting department (et al). It's been like 15 years of decay and neglect. The house is rotten to the core. It needs to be burned down to the ground. It won't be done while Arte is around. It's unfortunate Trout and Ohtani both attached their careers here -- sure the made money but no success is a failure that will cling to them forever.
  10. all this tells me is how bad the Angels organization/FO is and inept at building a team. the thing is, with or without injuries, they are a below average team -- this year and the last 7 years before. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised at this year. They are what they are. In fact, there is one thing the Angels do incredibly well and consistently -- play under .500 baseball. This year is year #8 in a row of doing so. Rearrange the chairs all you want -- it's the same story every year. Really it is quite comforting knowing there is something in the world that doesn't change and stays the same -- Angels Baseball....8 years and running.
  11. Yeah cause posting on a message board and number of posts is the end all for determining your baseball knowledge. Try getting out of your moms basement, away from the keyboard and visit the real world occasionally.
  12. All of this was so predictable and easy to see. The schedule was setup for them to sell - not buy. Likely gonna get worse before it gets any better. You’d have to be a fool (or Perry/Arte) to buy and think this team was a playoff caliber team.
  13. So Perry got pieces we needed - for this year. A year that we were not gonna make the playoffs regardless. What did he get for 2024+. Maybe a comp 2nd round pick. That’s the prize awaiting the Angels lol smh. Brilliance by the organization lol.
