  1. Oh yeah. I'm trying to hunt down a higher resolution version of the video, because this is art.
  2. There's gotta be riots if any of these come in. Worst case for the Angels is the Mariners get the #1, and we'll have Matt Olson clone Nick Kurtz hitting bombs against us for the next decade.
  3. Can confirm Perry is ready to blow his wallet at TJs. Looks like Jeff Fletcher went to the wrong grocery store.
  4. So we finally get the official odds for first overall pick. Tankathon's numbers were kind of off for first pick overall odds. 18.3 pct -- Athletics (.309) 18.3 -- Royals (.346) 18.3 -- Rockies (.364) 14.7 -- White Sox (.377) 8.3 -- Cardinals (.438) 6.1 -- Angels (.451) 4.3 -- Mets (.463) 3.0 -- Pirates (.469) 2.0 -- Guardians (.469) 1.6 -- Tigers (.481) 1.2 -- Red Sox (.481) 1.0 -- Giants (.488) 0.9 -- Reds (.506) 0.7 -- Padres (.506) 0.6 -- Yankees (.506) 0.4 -- Cubs (.512) 0.2 -- Mariners (.543) 0.0 -- Nationals (.438 -- ineligible for lottery pick)
  5. No, this is what he was referring to. Perry brought his cat to Nashville. Perry told Wash not to let the cat out of his bag.
  6. Whoa, how did I not notice Sicko Jack reaction before! Is it new?
  7. I can outbid you on cynical pessimism there... There's also greater than zero chance Perry commits some tampering violation and we end up with no first round pick.
  8. 24% chance of a top 3. Last year would have been a good year to have lottery luck and get a top three pick. Wyatt Langford at 3 or 4 last year is a much better pro prospect than Wetherholt or Bazzana at 2 or 3 this year.
  9. Also, I'm liking this idea until December 2024, when we would have had one year of Burnes and he leaves to sign with the Dodgers, and we'll still have to pay Yelich $26 million a year for four more years for #4 OF level production. To put it in perspective, we'd be paying a late-thirties Yelich $26 million a year all the way through the final 2028 election debate between Gavin Newsom and Donald Trump. (Remember, after Trump "loses" in 2024, he's still constitutionally eligible to run yet again.)
  10. Good idea. Running the hamate bone last year didn't work.
  11. Wait til the "wear and tear" crowd finds out he injured himself in the batter's box this year. The most obvious move is not to DH him, but to DH *for* him! We can put Trout next to grandma's ugly couch that no one is allowed to sit on.
  12. And the dude can swing the mashies and niblicks pretty well. Here's hoping he won't have time to hit the links until November next year. https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/golf/2020/05/22/former-mlb-pitcher-barry-enright-beats-out-pro-field-tpc-champions-classic-scottsdale/5249066002/
  13. Or possibly it validates the White Sox are a bad organization.
  14. Yep. There's our 2024 pitching coach. Escobar will be manager.
  15. Wait Kingery can't possibly be...let me look that up....oh wait, yes he turns 30 in April. Me after realizing Kingery is already that old.
