Just an epic display of batting by the team today. Can we extend the hitting coach?
I bet he’s so proud of all those awesome strikeouts. What a joke.

The M's are clearly a better team I guess?
They are better and younger but they won’t make the playoffs either. They don’t play the angels every day. But I bet they wish they could . Mariners are pretenders. Angels were bullshit pretenders. Forget about Ohtani. Rebuild the farm system. Somebody tell Rendon that he can wake from his nap to collect his paycheck.

Umpire is definitely a Mariner fan but Angels have given up. No fire.No fight. Just quit.
Angels are done. Final stake in the coffin. Fuck it. Start looking for a new manager. Nevin has no clue. Pitching cpach. Teams just walk their way to victory. Hitting coach. Worst situational hitting team in the majors. K Queens. Clean house. Complete rebuild that if done properly is going to take 5 years. Please sell the team Artie.

Live and die with Barria
Barriia pitching means Nevin has either no clue or money on the Mariners.

Tonight's is really a critical game. If we're going to climb out of this hole we really need to win this one.
One at a time, starting tonight!
At this point the Angels have won 56 of 112 games so with 50 games remaining the Angels would need to win 2/3 of their remaining games or 34 games to win 90 games which based on the current standings would be the minimum needed to capture a WIld Card spot. Love the optimism but the reality has been that this Angel team struggles to remain above.500 and they struggle with teams that are above.500. This season is over.

All the trades in the world would not change the fact that the Angels have a bunch of pitchers that don’t throw strikes and hitters that strike out too much. New manager, pitching and hitting coaches needed along with a completely overhauled training staff. This team has got to be completely retooled.

Angels pitchers can’t find their ass let alone the plate. I haven’t seen this many walks since little league. Does Thais need to paint his glove red?
-
Unfortunately they can’t afford to lose any series at this point. Tomorrow is almost a must win on the road against the best team in baseball. Angels have 56 wins in 108 games it’s going to take 90 wins to make the playoffs. That means they need to win at least 34 out of the remaining 55 games or 62%. No more.500 baseball if you want to play in October.

Got a chance to pull out a win tomorrow and make it a 6-3 roadie. Let’s get the rubber game and then come home and sweep the Mariners. Keep believing!

Not sure exactly why they went to Webb in the 6th when Sandoval had only thrown 90 pitches through 5 and had pitched decent. You might get away with Webb for 1 inning against that lineup but two was really dreaming. Ugly 7th for Webb but pitching is only going to hold up so long. Offense is offensive.

Moose has really struggled at the plate lately.

Maybe pull Webb, Nevin?
Why pull him now? Damage is already done. Let him eat some innings at this point so he can’t use him for awhile.

Albert goes home and gets the OUT.
Only play he had. Parker didn't cover first.
3 minutes ago, IheartLA said:lol even when Pujols does something good everyone hates him - could have screwed us big time if Zunino wasn't such a turd on the basepaths.
If Zunino holds at third they don’t get an out there. Parker has shaken baby syndrome from his stretch delivery gyrations. All that movement to throw batting practice fastballs.

The Mariners are just too good for the Angels. 12 games ahead now. Oakland are too good also. 4 games ahead. Just gotta tip your cap to these teams and turn the page.
You forgot about the Rangers, 5 back in the loss column and closing fast on the Anaheim Clowns . You just gotta tip your cap to the rest of the division and turn the page. The biggest turds always sink to the bottom of the toilet. Time to flush!

The Angels have had some terrible injury problems but the fast start was a mirage because the 2018 Angels are a terrible team. Time for wholesale changes this offseason. Last place in the AL West might force Artie to finally do something. This team is unwatchable.

It’s official 2018 is a dumpster fire that is burning bright and has no signs of going out soon. Trading deadline ahead and Angels can sell off some of their remaining assets to pick up some prospects that might help turn around this stumbling franchise. Why is Chris Young still on a MLB roster? What young prospective manager is out there that could breathe life into th Angels roster next season?

It is what it is. Hopefully they end up winning. It feels like they won’t(obviously). The team has real problems in the line up and bullpen. It is hard to keep being optimistic when we keep get battered with games like this but it’s gotta be repeated that there’s still lots of baseball and I still hope that they somehow manage to improve the team going forward via trade.
This team has been a steady implosion since they got off to a good start. They are as entertaining as a daily visit to the dentist. If they make any moves they should be selling not buying. There’s a lot of games left but this mediocre team is trending towards terrible. They will be fortunate to hold off the Rangers at this point.

Lucky win
Mariners get the June 13 division winners trophy. The end of season one will be in Houston AGAIN. Mariners might make it to the Wild Card game and get bounced.

And good teams find ways to win.
Seattle is a good team so far. But it’s JUNE. Lots of baseball left. It’s still the Astros division but Mariners have a shot at a wild card slot if they can keep winning those 1 run games.

Justin Anderson starting things off with a 4-pitch walk. I'm shocked.
Actually a good walk there. Haniger had two home runs tonight. Anderson walked him intentionally unintentionally and got 4 extra warm ups. Got the double play ball and weak pop up to strand a runner.

Complete housecleaning needed starting with a new owner. I have never seen a collection of worse situational hitters combined with pitchers who can’t throw a strike since my kids were in little league. Most of the guys they brought in were on expiring contracts so just say goodbye and play what’s left of the farm system the last few months of the season. Nevin needs to be fired immediately and sent home with Barria driving him because there is a Uber job in both of their futures. Moniak is reverting to his norm which is below the Mendoza line. No Player should be untouchable including Trout. Spare him from the indignity of playing with LOSERS like Rendon. Complete rebuild along with a new stadium with the right owner. Maybe 6 years from now this team will have a chance. After the Exorcism of course.
