  1. Here in Denver, April is the third snowiest month. But it could also be in the upper 70s. The first Rockies home game is Friday, when highs are supposed to be in the upper 60s. Anything north of the Mason-Dixon Line, the Ohio River (even the north bank of the Ohio), and the Missouri Compromise Line is a crapshoot this time of year.
  2. I don't practice Santeria, I ain't got no crystal ball. Oh, I had a million dollars but I'd, I'd spend it all. If I could find that Heina And that Sancho that she's found Well, I'd pop a cap in Sancho, And I'd slap her down.
  3. He was acting GM for the DBacks at the time of the trade.
  4. Those two years in Seattle, he was pretty lights out. The rest of the time has been more...like our current pen: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/a/aardsda01.shtml
  5. Yeah, I guess since we finished in third place with him, we could have finished in third place without him.
  6. My concerns: Trumbo. He's looked terrible this spring. Just like last-half of 2012 Trumbo. The bullpen. Last night was a good performance, and there have been a couple other ones, but I was hoping to see more the last week or two in AZ. Hanson. I don't know what we're gonna get from him. We know that this team is going to score runs, in bunches. The problem is that they might have to, just to stay in games.
  7. Hall's injury robbed him of a shot to make the team, IMO.
  8. Once again, another fine piece of hard-hitting investigative journalism from the crack team of reporters at The Onion.
  9. It used to be that the first game of the MLB season was ALWAYS in Cincy, as a tribute to the 1869 Cincinnati Redlegs.
  10. I hate losing, period. Especially to the Dodgers.
  11. Plus, he's the first guy, alphabetically, to ever play in MLB.
  12. I have a fear that the 2013 Angels=the 2012 Red Sox. I don't think it's unfounded, but I hope it's wrong.
  13. It's good that they added more handicapped seats for those Giant fans that Dodger fans beat the crap out of.
  14. He won't be a catcher for more than about 3 more years.
  15. If they're ranking entire pitching staffs, I could see Oakland certainly being top three. That bully is nasty, and the rotation...if everyone stays healthy...is a good one. But that's a big "if" for some of the starters...especially Anderson. The Yankees have a good bullpen, and their top three starters are still CC, Kuroda, and Pettitte. Hughes is certainly not a bad #4. Tampa is Tampa, they could trade their top starter every year and still dominate due to the good arms down on the farm. The Jays are gonna be good, too, if they stay healthy.
  16. They have wings at Subway? When did THAT happen?
  17. Yeah, I thought Votto at 14 was WAYYYY too low. Also, where's Tulo?
  18. From dictionary.com: scarp[skahrp] Show IPA noun 1. a line of cliffs formed by the faulting or fracturing of the earth's crust; an escarpment. 2. Fortification . an escarp. verb (used with object) 3. to form or cut into a steep slope. Origin: 1580–90; < Italian scarpa a slope. See escarp So...JD is looking for a line of cliffs to push relievers over. You're welcome.
  19. Juan Rivera: The only guy to lose his job to Vernon Wells. Twice.
