Tait is going to lose the election and a deal will be worked out with the new Mayor leading the way.

Great job Joe! I wish there were more reporters like you who knew how to be direct and ask the good questions.

Thing is we are both right. Just your opinion of Scioscia is wrong.
Opinions are neither right or wrong. But you are right... I am right, you are respectfully an asshole.

If you can list Salmon's accomplishments that put him in the same category of the top players in his playing years that had their numbers retired I will be willing to concede. Even dial it back ten years, I just don't see anything Salmon did that was that remarkable he never lead the league in any offensive category.
Very good player, great guy, not a hall of fame candidate. You should probably at this point in the Franchise history be a little more picky about what numbers are retired. Mr. 299 is probably not that guy.
PleAse oh wise one, tell us how Fregosi was better than Salmon. We wait on baited breath.

Still hate him. He still over manages. Never should have pulled Rasmus after 3, should have at least stretched him to 4 and evaluate from there.
When it comes down to it we won so I am happy. But I still hate him.

Agree with Mudville about its understanding the Franchise.... That being said, he certainly doesn't understand the Angels Franchise if he doesn't think Salmon's 15 should be retired. 15 should be retired just as 11 should be.
The only number I currently have a problem with is 28. Carews best years were with the Twins. He made it to the HOF because of what he did with the Twins, and he is wearing a Twins hat in the hall. The retiring of his number was primarily done to make up for the way Bavasi handled his departure. It was "throwing a bone"... And you should NEVER retire a number for that reason...

Let me get this straight... Jesus Street now pitches for the Halos?
Incredible.

Anything is better than last night where all the walk up music peices were Christmas music.

We live in a hyper sensitive uber politically correct world. You all are what's wrong with society and the downfall of the western world.
Get over your sensitivity issues and worry about more pressing things like the lies your government is telling you daily or Scioscia's insistence on using Frieri as closer.

For as much as I hated the name change at the time, I am ALL IN on TEAM ARTE on this one.
The CoA is a pompous bunch of d-bags who think that the sun rises in the Anaheim Hills and sets just beyond Euclid. They think that Anaheim came BEFORE Disney, BEFORE the Angels... Disney isn't going anywhere - they can't. But the Rams proved you can leave and the Angels will too.
However, the Angels will NOT be leaving SoCal... they will end up in Tustin/Irvine area where there is plenty of room and the team will be appreciated. Sorry - the WILL NOT be moving north - there is no reason to. The won't be moving away to Las Vegas or anywhere else for that matter - they will not leave the second largest media market in the country. The stadium IS old and IS rotting from within and the best thing for the Angels to do is either build new on the current lot or build new somewhere else.
I just hope it happens sooner rather than later... I hate to think about waiting till 2019 for this to happen.

Am I the only one that thinks hes a terrible broadcaster? I would rather listen to Rojas and Gubi then listen to his garbage stories, just the sound of his voice puts me to sleep.
You are not alone.

Started with Morales methinks. Since then this stadium, the team, has just never been the same.
You haven't been a fan long if you think it started with Morales. This goes WAAAAAY back....

I think you will find that most fans of every other team would probably feel the same way. Barring maybe the Yankees and Red Sox fans. It will be especially prevalent for fans of teams that haven't made the playoffs in recent years.
What is that? With this pitching staff and coaching staff we should be happy to make the playoffs.
Why do you think that NYY and BOS are the perennial contenders that they are. Its because their fan base EXPECTS it and won't settle for anything less than a WS.
A great number of Angels fans could learn something those fan bases. They could also learn how to expect it without being assholes. Wouldn't that be refreshing?

To me this just shows how desperate the A's really are for pitching with Parker being out. There was even a story that said that Kazmir is expected to be their No. 2 now. That team is in P trouble...
Blanton isnt going to help.

Tait will be unseated. He is ignorant.
