  1. He can Barely hit rights as-well, to me Cron should be the starting 1st baseman, even if he's a rightly. I do not have much faith in Valbuena.
  2. The system is going to continue to improve, even after ohtani Graduates. More and More people are starting to recognize the talent in our system, guys like Adell, Jone and Marsh Should be considered in the top 100 if they were on any other teams..... AkA the Yankees' or Dodgers. I think also a guy like Barria, due to his safe ceiling of a 3 is a consideration at the top 100. So with out much to say, if Adell, Jone and Marsh continues to show similar results they are in the Top 100, Same with Barria and if Maitain and CRod can rebound next year your looking at about 6 guys that could be in the top 100.
  3. The difference between the astros/Cubs and us is that they had better prospects and depth in there systems to help, Rizzo was a big help to the curb, but so were Brytant, Javy, Reed, conteres and most of there young guys which were prospects and are still young, same with the astros. Both team traded away prospects because they had excess amount and the Mlb roster were filled with more prospects than veterans.
  4. It's fine to trade prospects, but now is not the time to consider it. We could easily decimate our system again, but I would rather wait a year or 2 before trading. We are ranked 15ish now and the system is still improving. I also think that Billy and his Scouts know what they have in our system and the potential these guys have. Billy could have easily traded Jones, Canning for Cesar or marsh/ Barria. But he didn't due to the potential. Let's wait a bit and allow the guys to increase there value more. So by 2019/20 instead of trading 2 or 3 good prospects now, we could trade one for a guy similar to Cesar
  5. Do we need an another Elite Starter? No, Should we get one tho? Maybe or maybe not. First of i want to say, is that we are not the only team that is in contention next year with question marker of there rotation. 1. Indians- they have Kluber But after that its a question mark, Santana is a ?, Bauer is off and on, Carrsco has had his deal of Injuries, Clevinger looks good but still to early to see where he is by next year. 2. Yankees- Severino and grey ( Who hasn't really had an aced like year since some time, more of 3), Tanaka had a down year. 3. Red Sox- Sale and Pomeranz, after that its a question mark. 4. Houston- Verlander is going to be solid, Keuchel had a good season , but since winning the Cy Yong has declined and has been Injured, MCculler's has had injury issue, but has chance to break out and as well as being injured , expecting the league to adjust to peacock. Most importantly for us ii is about Health. If Richards, Heany, Skaggs and Trop can stay healthy, also if both Richards and Ohtani can live to there potential we can go toe to toe with the above team. But the biggest key is seeing if Heaney or Skaggs can breakout out or Shoe returns to form we can easily take Houston and make exceed them. Most Importantly i think we need to continue to improve the Bullpen, a closer would be nice but a young guy like Reed Would Work. Than add a Lefty Offensive minded Catcher as a backup to Maldando or for first. Avila would be the Ideal Choice.
  6. Addison Reed, looking at what Eppler has done with unproven guys such as Bedrock, Norris and Parker. Makes you wonder what Eppler can go to Reed a proven and solid reliever .
  7. Reed I could see it happening, but I'd be really surprised if we get Britton.
  8. Kinsler Calhoun Trout Upton Pujols? Valbuena Ohtani Simmons Cozart/ Valbuena Maldando
  9. Both of these are great signings, lets say if both Kinsler and Cozart regress next year we still get about 2 war from each position, which was way more than last year. But if they don't we'll be a really good team.
  10. Quick question, does Cozart have an QA? also looks like he changed his launch angel last year, Hopefully we get Murphy 2.0
  11. .228/ .315/.399/.714 This my friends is Valbuena career slash line, as a matter of fact most of these numbers were put in an hitter friendly environment, They are not eye popping. Angels stadium is not a hitter friend either, So i think Valbuena will put the same number he did last year. With that said he should not be on starting 3rd baseman next year. Here are 2 of my top 3rd baseman to consider. 1. Yanger Solarte (31 yrs of age), A switch hitter, with good power to all fields, puts the ball in to play has averaged about 60 K per season. Cheap contract until 2020. Defensively not strong at 3rd, but no way near as bad as Esco and can play all 4 infield positions. 2. Headley (34)- Switch Hitter, OK power but good OBP, can play 1st and 3rd, good club guy, one year contract.
  12. Got to wonder if we are looking at Headley for trade or if its someone else, Billy pretty much had a chance to get Him from the yankee's for free but didn't. I think it could be Solarte coming to us.
  13. If we acquire an 3rd baseman, this most likely makes Cron expendable, i wouldn't mind an Cron for Harvey trade.
  14. I just hope we just don't have to give up anything for Headley, when we had a chance of getting him for free and a prospect along him.
  15. Eh, I always liked Wilkel but if Kinsler reboiunds should could be worth it.
  16. Kinsler did struggle, but he did hit 22 hrs and had an OBP over 300.
  17. I think Passon and Br are just over blowing this up more than it should be. it seems to be like most Japaneses player deal with this issue and they look Fine the following year. Look's like Madea had arm issues before he signed with the Dodgers, let's not forget ErvIn Santana, who looks like had a grade-2 strain on the UCL and hasn't bothered him since. Going to a six man rotation will definitely help and controlling Ohtani's workload will be important. And i agree on giving our pitchers a PRP injection at the end of a season.
  18. Got a wonder since there's about 3 months left until spring training, see if a stem cell injection is a possibility to heal the strain. It wouldn't hurt to try for a month I guess.
  19. It may or may not be serious, it's a sprain, so if it's similar to a regular sprain it should be able to heal, which was why the PRP Injection was taken. Plus we don't know when this medical was taken, and compared to the once Eppler referring to it's didn't look bad.
  20. https://twitter.com/JeffFletcherOCR/status/940804632040919040?s=17 to relieve the pain.
  21. I wouldn't mind this trade at all. Quite frankly he not really that good and it creates a clog in the salary for the rangers.
  22. Trust the process, trust Billy, let him turn a no name into something good in the bullpen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Oh man!! What is Billy doing, most of the relivers are getting signed, let's least get one of either Reed or McGee or both . So far I'm 0/3 on my reliever choice):....
  24. Would not trade- Jones- the closet to the majors, i'm starting to get a safe bet that he may be a regular in the show, with upside of Cain/ Mccutchen. As of right know i would give him a B- and has the potential B+. People outside of us are finally noticing him. potential top 100 propect Adell- Tremendous upside but still far away, see him mold into an J Upton/Hunter/ Andrew Jones kinda of player. Potential to be a really good player. Marsh- still young, but has shown advanced hitting ability with GG calibrated glove. Injuries are the major concerns but if he stats healthy could be a better prospect than Jones. Barris- Closet Sp to the Majors, has excited expectations Rodriguez- too much potential to sell off right now, already at Single-A at 19, if he can limit the hits could see him in majors by 2020. may or may not. Maitain- Still need to see improvement. Canning- same as Maitain Castillo Ward.
