  1. You just have to give Credit to billy and Co for the system. One think that may have gone under the radar is how much pitching depth That have build, we have 2 sets of categorized of pitching depth now, 1 that contains the safe bet guys with low ceilings and that the guys with high bust rate what also extremely high upside. 1. Gatto, personally i see need him to develop a third pitch that at least Consistent. If he can still improve i can see him being a number 3 2. For a Bp arm Jewell is in the bottom 30 but as a starter not so much 3. CRod's stuff just jumps out, His Fb to me is an 65 grade pitch right now with a chance to be an 70 grade pitch, Mix it in with a wipe-out slider and a change that has shown flashes of being a plus pitch, than consider the fact he can toss an average curve. He struggled last year, but you have to remember he was going up against guys that were about 4 yrs older than him, There were also a few stats to like; only 144 BB and 2 Hrs allowed. I think next year is still going to be a learning season for him, but i'm excepting better results and by the end of the season he'll start dominating.
  2. In the Voice of the great Jim Ross " Let the Sho- Time Era Begin, Oh my god! Ohtani just murder that ball !!!!!!!!
  3. Well atleast Bridwell is the same as last year. A fast and quick worker.
  4. relatingg to the yankee's prospects, I feel as if there system is pretty overhyped. Looking over there scouting report and taking with a few yankees. I think only Torres had to be a stud, while Sheffield being a solid stater. s few projects and their comps/ roles Adam's- he only has developed 2 pitches so far, him being a number 3 or a bp arm is his third pitch. Abreu- high BB rate and inconsistent offspeeds. Florial- I'm actually pretty high on him, similar to Jones, just need to See him in the upper levels Andujar- David Freeze
  5. Could definitely see Eppler make the Rays Budge, I can say only a few team at this point are interested in Archer. The Yankee's, Nats and maybe Dodgers. Something on the lines of- Cron, Jones/ Marsh, Barria and a 2 other prospects.
  6. I'm not really that high on the Yankee's either. They have 3 hole in there lineup, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Stanton, Sanchez and Judge may be good, but missing 3 spots are big. Personally, do not believe that Judge will not have a similar first half as last year. 2nd, i'm not sold on there rotation; just look at the playoffs, CC was there best pitcher, Serverino, similar to Alex Wood, I have to see if they can repeat similar seasons, Gray's a 3 at this point to me after that it monegemory and CC and Tanka. Bp are even. I think its going to come down to Porcello or Tanka who ever rebounds will have the bigger impact. and the yankee's roster and prospects are way over hyped.
  7. Hopefully, this means that Thesis is close. I have no trust in Valbuena's bat and Pujols Legs.
  8. Looks like Richards has that belly going, lol. Looks like Heaney went back to his original mechanisms. But its good to see these guys together for once. If our rotation can hold up i truly believe we have a chance to have a top 10 rotation. Looks like Skaggs had a good work out, looks a bit bigger. I'm expecting a big season from him, hopefully Weaver took him to a few yoga classes so he doesn't pull anything.
  9. Most likely its going to Rivera, with Cozart and Kinsler ability to play multiple positions in the infield, i doubt we carry cowart, EYJ and i think the last place is going to come down to Cron and Valbuena; who ever wins the spot in spring training wins it.
  10. I think Eppler will stay Pat until the trade deadline and make a trade similar for a pitcher, similar to the Upton trade.
  11. Jake is a disaster waiting to happen, He's had only two phenomenal years so far in his career, his velocity has gone down each of the past 2 seasons ( weaver!), he has not pitched like an Ace since hos Cy young campaign. Era/ Fip/Xfip last 2 years. 2016- 3.10/3.52/ 3.68 2017- 3.53/4.16/4.11
  12. Line up- Kinsler Calhoun Trout Upton Pujol's Ohtani/ Cozart/Simmons /Cron/ valubena depending on whether ohtani plays on that day. Cozart/Simmons Simmons/ Cozart Maldo Bench EYJ, Cron/Valubena, Rivera, Rotation 1. Richards 2. Skaggs 3. Ohtani 4. Shoe 5. Heaney BP Paredes Alvarez Middleton Parker Bedrock Johnson JC
  13. Eppler has been mostly quite, when he makes a move so this news poping up, may mean that Billy's up to something... he is the silent assassin..... I'm thing of 2 possibilities. 1. Teams that missed out of darvish, he could be trying to up the price by including the angels as a suiter. 2. Similary keep the focus on odorizzi but, get the rays to budge on Archer, and before you guys tell me there are teams with better prospect to offer to the Rays, he did get us Simmons with a ranked 30 system.
  14. I would put Adell, Maitain, Jones, Marsh, Barria, Rodriguez and canning as our untouchable prospects .The only way theses player become tradeable is if we have a chance to acquire some one like Madison bumgarner.
  15. If thesis does not develop his power, I believe he can be a James loney type of hitter, having him and his OBP in front of trout and the other run producers 8s going to be benefactor to us.
  16. All i can say is that Dipoto was terrible at building prospect. I can still remember the main focus of the 14 draft was pitching, yet not one pitcher has worked out in the MLB.
  17. Most definitely, but if we can work out a trade with them we can also improve ourself. And injured prone.
  18. As the title says " lets fool the Yankees", so the yankee's are trying to make room for Darvish, the most likely pieces that could be moved are Robertson ( 13 Mil) or Betance (5 Mil). Lets try and see if we can get both, if not try to get one. For 1 year of Robertson it should not cost much, for Betance's a prospect in the bottom 15 of the top 30 should do it. Pros- 1. Both are lock down Closer with stop to come out eailer if needed to. 2. Helps out the Bp Cons 1. we lose a few lower prospects 2. add more money to payroll, but it looks like we are done so now how are we tricking the Yankee's. Simply we help them get Darvish but he's 32, out of his prime. He may have 1 or 2 more years but don't think he'll be worth the money. Now the interesting part, they already have big contracts and mostly like will spend big next free agencies, in 2 -3 years they will have to extend Judge, Servino and Sanchez while also having to deal with the raised price for the other players. I see trouble happening for them in 2-3 years.
  19. I think offensively they will be fine, pitching is going to be the issue with them. Verlander is going be great, but after that it's a question mark, Kechuel's Fip and xfip suggest that he hasn't pitched like an Ace since his Cy young year ( he's has pitched more like a 3) and he has been hurt, personally i feel as if hitters are more patience and look opposite- field they can draw walks while also getting hits hopefully leading to a big ining, it will be interesting to see how Cole does, Mccullers has been there second best pitcher, buts he's been injured the most, Watching his pitching motion and the amount of curves he throw and relate this to his shoulder issues, He could hurt his arm (TJ). The leagues going to make adjustments against Peacock and Morton and the Bp isn't that strong either.
  20. Everything about Canning matches up with Greinke, from height, arsenal and some what of there mechanism. My issue with Canning involves his mechanism, looking at him pitch i feel as if there is a lot of stress on that arm when he pitches. Smoothing his mechanism, similar to how Greinke's are should fix the issue.
  21. I don't agreed with CRod ranking either, I think with 4 average to plus pitches and his upside, he should be in the top 10. Sickle did get the summary right. Chris totally reminds be of a young Richards, when he was on it was fun watching him and when he wasn't, boy was he getting knocked around. I think it will be a slow process for Chris to reach dominate Richards level but he has a chance. Also i would not be surprised if they smooth his delivery similar to how they did with Meyers and he has good enough control where he'll stay in the rotation.
  22. look like Darvish is interest in coming back to the dodgers, but the dodgers are not. i would not mind if we take a chance for the right price. 82 mil for 4 years, include an oppt-out after the 2nd year and a team option for the 5 year.
  23. I think the main focus for next year will be pitching and either 2nd or 3rd. with the way free agency has changed this off-season, i would not be surprised to see a few of the prospects getting traded. most importantly these moves will relate to; if Richards can stay healthy and we resign him, if either Skaggs/ Heaney can breakout or return to pre-injured form. If Richard's gets hurt and neither Skaggs/ Heaney breakout that will put more pressure on us to trade/ or thru free agency, to get atleast 2 pitchers. and to cap it off, i think we'll get one of Archer, Duffy or a pitcher of a similar tier sometimes this year.
