Imagine being paid $35M a year and doing a good job of it isn't a top priority.

Of course family comes first, but most of us stiffs who make in a year what Rendon makes in a few innings of a single game are still able to be engaged parents and spouses and work hard.

You mean when he was being paid by a previous employer? Nobody made him sign a second contract. He did it, it was his hand that put pen to paper. His mindset, which is dictated by his quotes, is that he doesn’t give a shit. That is not what a fan base or an employer want to hear when you the employee has provided next to nothing.  His contract actually prohibits the employer from improving elsewhere.
