Winning cures all. Having the best player in baseball is awesome, but the stadium is still mostly empty every night these days since we're garbage. I'm not saying we should trade him btw

Reagins inherited a GREAT team with a solid farm. The day he was hired is the day we took a turn for the worst. I don't know why but it was under his reign that we turned our focus away from a long term sustainable approach focusing on player development and smaller FA signings to short term, big name, value poor trades and free agent signings. 

And this has not happened to me before...even during the bs years of the 90's...I was always watching and paying attention. I think part of the issue this year is outside of Trout...who I love...there is nothing to even check in on. It's just a boring team. You can only watch Giavatello flail at so many pitches...or the starter du jour give up a first inning dinger so many times before it gets old.

The other day...think it was tuesday...was looking around for something to watch on tv and didn't even realize the Angels were playing until I saw it on the channel guide.

Yeah they are, and Trout will likely keep us above both of them in the standings. But I still see us losing close to 100 games. It's not just the offense that's a disaster now. We literally don't have a single starting pitcher that can pitch more than 5 innings consistently

Fire Eppler??? How about firing the guy who's actually been here during all the failing. Mike Scioscia. I think it's time for the new GM to have an opportunity to hire his own manager. 

Freese and Joyce look like different people compared to last year. Though I never considered Freese unproductive. That's not the point. No one comes here and plays better. Our scouting sucks. We always happen to choose the wrong free agents. It's not just luck. It's our organization. It's the leadership. And there are only two constants in the last 10 years. 
 
Im sick of people giving Scioscia a pass as if what is happening should be acceptable.

Crap, look at Kobe Bryant.  By some measures, the worst basketball player in the nba not just this past season, but for two seasons.  If you put Kobe under truth serum, do you think he thought he was terrible?  Hell no!
 
Albert thinks he is awesome today.  He will think he's awesome in five years.  He has a manager who, IMO, does nothing but blow smoke up his ass.  In his mind, he is invaluable.

Well done, Chuck! One little minor thing I noticed is that the Notification icon is white and so is the background at the top of the screen so it blends in making it difficult to see.

A-Rod, but in fairness, he is a lot younger than Pujols.

Put a healthy Pujols at 1st and the infield defense is no longer an issue really. Giavotella has been impressive. However, Cron and Escobar look like complete liabilities with the glove at times

Let's not narrow down Cron's defensive issues because they are endless. Even if Giavotella turns into a gold glove winner, our infield defense is still going to be a problem because of who we have on the corners.

I wish it was funny. Worst farm system in baseball, have missed the playoffs 5 out of the last 6 years. He's a generational player. He wants to win. Again, why would he re-sign here when he can get the same contract elsewhere from a better situated team?
